And you'll never guess... it's a Republican of course

Fox Hosts: Caitlyn Jenner's Real Bravery Is In Being A Conservative

Fox News hosts Andrea Tantaros and Eric Bolling said Monday that Caitlyn Jenner's real bravery rested in her declaration of being a Republican instead of her gender transition.

They made the comments during a panel on "The Five" discussing the reality TV star's public debut as a woman (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/caitlyn-jenner-vanity-fair) on the cover of Vanity Fair's June issue.

"I think she looks great," co-host Julie Roginsky said of the cover. "For the record, I think she looks fantastic and I'm happy for her that she's finally at peace with herself."

Tantaros then interjected with a reference to Jenner's pre-transition interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer, in which she said her politics were "kind of more on the conservative side." (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/24/bruce-jenner-conservative_n_7140858.html)

"I think it was more courageous to come out as a conservative than to come out as Caitlyn, I mean truthfully," Tantaros said. "I also think that she looks better now and I really mean that. Probably because she's happy … and visually, and I'm being totally honest because I really love this look and I support -- he looks better as a she."

"I wasn't smirking about anything that was going on here. I was smirking because I had the exact same talking points," Bolling later added. "Bruce Jenner did something that was very difficult. Bruce Jenner did something that he knew was probably going to give him a lot of grief. Bruce Jenner stood up and loudly and proudly declared that he was a Republican."

Tantaros' and Bollings' awkward approaches to Jenner's transition followed a mocking segment about the reality TV star (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/caitlyn-jenner-neil-cavuto-fox) on Fox Business Network's "Cavuto." Host Neil Cavuto had wondered "what the hell is going on?" with Jenner before comparing gender transitions to the fall of Roman civilization.

They weren't the only ones to draw attention to Jenner's conservative views, though. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), known for his colorful Twitter personality (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/rep-steve-cohen-tennessee), wondered on Twitter whether Caitlyn was a still a Republican post-transition:Bruce #Jenner (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jenner?src=hash) came out as a Republican last April.Well is #CaitlynJenner (https://twitter.com/hashtag/CaitlynJenner?src=hash) a Republican too ?

Come on Blake...That is a mighty broad brush...Huckabee is outspoken & (at times) creepy...That does not make his agenda Christian...I can't stand TV Evangelist & TBN any more than you...

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
James 1:27

Basically it means to care for those who have no means to pay you back...That is the mark of a Christian...

Of course, one can always govern in defiance of the law like Obama and his executive orders.

pay attention, there's lots of bad and/or vague laws at all levels. When vague, the judge's personal interpretation, like Bible humpers making up shit from the Bible, comes into play. How about that judge up north in a red state that gave a 30 days sentence for rape? etc, etc, etc.

Now look at how the SCOTUS5 will judge the ACA "no subsidy for Federal exchange users" case this month, where ACA was badly written. They will probably ignore the INTENT of the law, and say "we, in this case almost uniquely becasue we 5 assholes want to fuck Obama, are bound by the literal text of the law"

CosmicCowboy

Boo, if you want judges to rule on what they think the intent was instead of ruling on what the law actually says that is a slippery ass slope.

yep, rightwingnut bullshit.

You need to learn more about the law.

Judges, before the SCOTUS5, had to navigate bad, vague laws to judge what the totality of the law INTENDED. GFY

If the SCOTUS5 say they ABSOLUTELY MUST follow an ANOMALOUS sentence to 2000 pages, it will be yet more proof that You People have really fucked up American law with your Repug assholles tainting the judicial with extreme rightwingnut judges.

The right’s trans bathroom panic is a lie: Schools debunk claims of harassment from non-discrimination laws

http://media.salon.com/2015/05/mike_huckabee4.jpg

We already know that some conservative men seem to have a creepy fixation (http://www.salon.com/2015/06/03/fox_news_creepy_fixation_why_are_they_so_obsessed_ with_spying_on_girls/) with the idea of using anti-discrimination laws to spy on teen girls in various states of undress. We get it: The likes of Mike Huckabee, Bill O’Reilly and co. believe that laws meant to prevent discrimination against transgender people will necessarily allow determined perverts to lie about their gender identity and sneak into women’s restrooms.

It’s a very elaborate conception of a threat. And it’s also one that’s been repeatedly debunked in practice.

Contradicting conservative media outlets’ favored claim that trans-inclusive non-discrimination policies promote “confusion” and harassment among students in particular, Media Matters spoke with numerous school districts (http://mediamatters.org/research/2015/06/03/17-school-districts-debunk-right-wing-lies-abou/203867) where such measures have been enforced and found — gasp! — that

none of those negative effects had actually resulted.
