I didn't care enough to vote

SA voter municipal elections turnout runs about 10% -12%

If I had not met Leticia I would have voted for her. I really don't like negative voting but Leticia struck me immediately as a mile wide and an inch deep. Ivy might be as well, but she got my nod mainly because I have never talked to her.

Not feeling to good about my decision making process.

Wide is right :lol

VanDePutte sold her soul to the police and firefighters unions trying to win the election by locking up their huge block vote and it came back to bite her on her fat ass.

Makes the Ivy win palatable, definitely.

This city has development problems so I'm hoping the developers don't have our new mayor's ear. We pave over everything and wonder why new places flood, 1604 is a royal mess, zoning process can be bought, it's not good.

We have construction contractors out directing traffic when they have to move heavy equipment because they screwed up and did not think things through, it's quite out of hand.

I voted Ivy. In the general election I voted for Adkinson because he is an ardent toll road foe.

I really admired Ivy for pulling the plug on that bull shit street car scam. Plus she basically told that one Hispanic group to go fuck off about supporting a $15 minimum wage in San Antonio.

What is so bizarre is that an African American female, who has Democratic leanings and is an Obama protege, beat a female Hispanic established Democrat in a city that is majority Hispanic, and beat her with the support of the white northside conservative voters.

A friend of mine who is a professional female Hispanic voted for Ivy saying she was tired of these same old fat Hispanic politicians getting elected in San Antonio.

Total bizarro fucking world. We just had the Elizabeth Warren left wing of the Democratic party with support from some Tea Party candidates defeat Obamatrade which was pushed by the entrenched Republicans.

"Plus she basically told that one Hispanic group to go fuck off about supporting a $15 minimum wage in San Antonio."

It would help "her people" as much if not more than Hispanics.

She pandered to the Bible humpers with her religion bullshit.

"Taylor won the race with a total of 50,659 votes cast to Van de Putte’s 47,328. "

:lol typical 10% or less turnout for SA municipal, county elections.

If the Repugs were for TTP, because BigCorp wanted it for their own enrichment/powergrad, we know for sure that TPP/TTIP/TIS would have, and perhaps still will, screw the USA 99% just like other trade/globalization deals have done.

Obama pushing it as a "trade" deal was a lie. It's corporate/capitalist/investor power grab promoting BigCorp above sovereign states.

It's not like Tish ran as the antichrist. Yeah, I voted for a black female democrat both times because she seems to understand the importance of fiscal responsibility.

Tish's ego is bigger than her monumental ass. Wonder what she will run for next...county commissioner? President?

I met her staff at a bar on halloween. It was exactly what I would expect if I met a st phillip's college student who had done nothing in their life but goal was to get as far in the DNC as they could. I liked ivy because she was the only one in the debate that said "we don't have the money". She was the only grown up. Now she has to get rid of Castro's idiotic pre-k program.

Totally agree that the Rethugs pushing this bill so hard did it to enrich their backers and themselves. What I don't understand is Obama pushing it.

yep, I wonder if he read it as well as Warren, etc read it. I think he wanted huge "trade" deal for his legacy. I'm really disappointed in the "socialist" :lol
