I like this kid a lot as a second rounder...decent skill-set on both sides of the ball with a basketball pedigree. I know the Spurs have worked him out as well, so they've seen him up close.

I just noticed in some Mock on Yahoo that they have this guy going to Utah right ahead of us in the second round. Now Amico is saying first round? :huh

Immediately better than Ayres, and if he's "their guy" then it isn't uncommon they would be willing to reach, at least based on where his relative value seems to be. Spurs took Hill with Chalmers on the board and Joseph...both taken a good 15-20 spots higher than projected.

Celtics were going to take Hill at 30. He wasn't much of a reach, and Chalmers sucked even before LeBron left Miami.

Consensus at the time was that Chalmers was the higher rates prospect and Hill was tabbed as a mid-second rounder. Clearly he proved the pundits wrong, but it's revisionist history to portray his selection at #26 as anything other than a reach at the time he was drafted.

Quickly becoming one of my favorites. But it's a bit of a reach at 26 I think. I guess it depends on who's left on the board at the time.

Prides himself on defense and has been expanding his offensive game. Mentioned Leonard as someone he wants to take after.

I saw this in the package as well. Defense-first, long, athletic, emerging offensive game, well-spoken, NBA blood lines. There's a lot to like.

I would not be disappointed if this is the pick.

I've only seen highlights, but I liked what I saw. There is budding post footwork and a budding mid-range jumpshot there. Looks like B-level athleticism too. Says he is serious about defense and is looking to take after Kawhi. Those are not bad qualities in a #26 pick.

Yeah, but I heard he had a bad injury history and a poor prognosis long term.

Ah the skilled white swingman. Always tantalising, but generally always struggle in the NBA

I think his father might disagree with you. You figure out which part.

If they do trade back into the second, I bet he's the pick.

LOL true that, didn't even know it was his son he looks so white. He's up there with Jason Kidd and Mike Bibby as the whitest black guys.
