Excluding trolling answers like LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, Chris Paul, etc, is there a bigger playoff choker than him in recent history?

He has played in 4 playoffs and has never even posted a league average PER, tbh:lol..

He didn't really do much throughout the playoffs, tbh..

Good defender and shooter off the pass, limited as a creator, which affects his game against playoff defenses..

He's a role player benefiting from hype and a cba that rewards mid tier talent.

I'd keep him. He's a good kid, you need regular season players to build the roster. I'll also give him the benefit of the doubt that under Kerr he can improve.

He has a place on a team since he can be a really good 3&D player. Has no business being a second option on a max contract though.

More fouls than points tonight :lol

But Klay was a huge part of them winning 67 games and getting HCA in the playoffs. Many a time this season, Curry struggled and Klay took over and won games. So he's still important to their team. But yea, he was basically a no show this series.

Klay's vanishing act is the reason I think the Spurs would have beat them in the WCF.

Cleveland shut him down with the likes of Shumpert and JR Smith.

If the Spurs had not shit the bed against LAC all they would have had to contend against would have been Iggy,Green and Barnes. It would have been a coin flip series.

Tim and Boris would have likely carried them as everyone else focused on defense.

David Lee might have been used more.

but you know I underestimate how much the threat of a player goes into the strat and play. They still had to defend against his shot, so maybe that was his contribution in the series, because his ass couldn't stay on the court in game 6.

If they can slide Timmy down to PF then they could've moved Kawhi down to a SG. I probably have less of a problem with Jordan making 3rd-Team than this fraud.

I was told that Klay was amazing because CLE had to face guard him and he drew so much attention with regards to gravity (meaning Iggy, Green, etc.. were open ) that he was still considered pretty great and not any where close to a choker.

After his smart assey lame LeBron dig, if we had a media member with the slightest set of nutts the question would be "How would you have done with this Cavs team were you and LeBron to switch places?"

I don't understand the hate.

Klay did not score much in their last 3 games- but all those 3 were won games. Previous to that he likely average in the 20pts in the whole playoffs.

His numbers will crash back to earth in the next round, be it against OKC or Spurs.

Like I said this series is over in 5 games if OKC doesnt win tonight ..a.nd it sure did not look like they can win tonight on Saturday.

I really do like both Durant and westbrook but the fact that Pop put his best defender on Russ and Durant still could not get off shows you that Westbrook is OKC's most important if not best player and durant may not be as good as we want him to be anymore ...green is avery good defender but KD has to dominate Green for OKC to have any chance especially if the spurs cross-match KL on Russ.

I can't believe Donovan didn't start posting Durant, that should pull Leonard right off Westbrook and force Pop to put Green back on him.

I think the Spurs probably take this is 5, maybe even a clean sweep if the shooting keeps going. OKC has been overrated for a couple of years now, and Spurs, with Kawhi and Green, are perfect to defend Westbrook and Durant. While Kawhi is the better overall defender, Green is quicker and have better reflexes, which is perfect to guard a guy like Durant (or Curry, shall the Spurs advance), and it makes it difficult for Durant to get going.

Really? I still think this is a 6 or 7 game series, though I'm leaning more towards 6 since I think LMA is a much better matchup for Ibaka than the Spurs have ever had. If Durant refuses to play in the post tonight then maybe 5 though I guess.

The problem with OKC is that they have a lot of iso plays for their two stars, and the Spurs just happen to have the two perimeter defenders to match up those two stars, while allowing the rest of the team to stay with their man and shut those down.

On defense, the OKC has gone from average to straight bad, and a lot of that has to do with the decline of Ibaka (athletically), Durant (injury and lateral movement), Westbrook (fell in love with gambling for highlight plays, and Kanter (being there). The Spurs mid range game is great, and OKC doesn't have anyone to stop that.

While we are on the topic, I still think the Spurs have a good chance at the GSW. GSW go over the screen and switch every time on pick and rolls, Aldridge and Kawhi are great with pops and also rolls to the rim great.

I can see Durant giving a go in the post for a few possessions, but once it doesn't work out, the old habits will take over. The high post would work great for him if he would work in it himself.

Raw +/- is irrelevant, though..that's probably a product of GS's bench vs. Cleveland's atrocious 2nd unit..

Thompson wouldn't be as valuable without the players around him(since he can't pass and isn't a great creator for himself), but his gravity is huge for them, of course..

Yeah, you really just can't pull the +/- stat here, Klay's value at this point goes beyond that.
