The most commonly accepted top 10 player list is (in no particular order):

MJ
Magic
Kareem
Duncan
Shaq
Lebron
Hakeem
Bird
Wilt
Russell

If you're not keen on including pre-merger players, then Moses Malone and Dirk
(fuck off, all the metrics and stats support Dirk being a top 10 player of all-time) round out the list.

Curry joins all these players (Dirk aside) as players who won a regular season and Finals MVP in the same season, which is a monumental achievement. In addition to that, Curry will likely have maintained a +/- of above 10 throughout a championship run, something only Jordan, Lebron, Bird, and Duncan have managed to do.

It might be early, but I can't see any reason to exclude him. At the very least, he's a top 15 great.
