LeBron averaged 20 missed shots per game in the Finals. They would have killed Kobe for that kind of stat. What was his usage rate? It's similar to Westbrook's situation where they're running the entire offense ran through him so of course he's going to put up numbers.

His rebounding numbers were very impressive though.

Impressive that he can put up those kinds of numbers, but people give players like Kobe and etc shit all the fucking time for inflated stats on less than impressive shooting percentages because of shitty teammates.

Very very impressive showing, but nonetheless, they lost. They lost because he didn't have help, and those stats reflect that loss more than anything. Hard putting it up there as a "great finals performance of all time" when they lost. At the end of the day, all that matters is winning.

So let me get this straight...

The '10 Lakers+'11 Mavs won with Kirby+Dirk shooting ~40% because those two guys are winners not because they had a solid supporting cast around them. The '15 Cavs lost with LeGOAT shooting ~40% because he is a loser not because his supporting cast was injured and thus sucked. Is that what you're saying, moron?

That's the shit right there. I noticed while watching the games that he barely got doubled. He needed to get his ass in the post rather than bringing the ball up and trying to bully ball his way into the paint or settle for jumpers when he's not a pure shooter. This is Lebron in a nutshell.

You don't need to be double teamed to be swarmed. The shooters shot terrible, when they aren't a threat his courtvision becomes obsolete and the help defenders can be that much more agressive.

This is the kind of coverage Lebron was seeing all series and Kerr never went away from it. This isn't getting swarmed. This was Lebron having all kinds of space to do what he wanted and he threw up a lot of dumb shots. If anything the Warriors gave Lebron's teammates too much respect and stuck with them instead of swarming Lebron.

I especially noticed this to begin the 2nd half.
The Cavs had just chopped a 15 point lead down to a tie.
Then they went ahead the 1st couple trips to start the 2nd half.

Then......LeBron i thought he was gonna take over.
Instead the Cavs ran some f'd up offense where Mozgov would go stand in the corner trey area and LeBron tossed it out to him. A couple times. One clank, one turnover after Mozgov lost the ball and the Golden Phaggots were up by 5 just like that.

Huge turning point, the turning point IMO.

Nobody is saying he didn't take his fair share of bad shots. What player doesn't? Not to mention the fact that that's not even his strength or where he spent most of his time. He's at his best up top, attacking/reading the defense. When he penetrated the help defenders collapsed on him and it resulted in either a difficult shot for him or a kickout for one of his teammate's bricks.

Exactly.
Just because Golden State was not "doubling" LeBron, the help guys were able to cheat off big time.
For F's sake Delly would just hold the ball like a hot potatoe and then just dump it off and go stand around like a dumbf. Delly was zero offensive threat. Never mind his zero points, he presented zero threat.
Made it wayyy easier to defend LeBron. Who also got burned out of prolly at least 5 assists after he made excellent passes that Cav botched the layup or turned the ball over.

Blattovich sticking with Delly and JR DumbF while keeping Mike Miller chained to the bench. Ya that really helped LeBron too. :rolleyes

Yeah, Lebron got plenty of one on one matchups in this series. He wasn't swarmed by any means. I was surprised how much space the Warriors gave him to operate.

Boom.

LeBron is not a very good iso player and has a mediocre faceup J. Warriors took advantage and played him straight up almost the entire series. Props to Iggy and even Barnes for playing him so well.

LeBron is best off the pnr, where his court vision and exclusive ability are almost peerless. When you relegate him to isos you get an inefficient result.

With that said, LeBron's backcourt was embarrassingly bad all series. One of the worst backcourt performances I've ever seen.

LeBron was in an impossible situation and made it competitive with his total game. People comparing him to Kobe might want to stop, because Kobe was never a nightly triple double threat.

If anything LeBron played like a smarter westbrook.
