I'd beat Bill Russell one on one as well, seriously.

every guard-forward in the nba should be able to defeat a 52 year old MJ.

Seriously. I don't care if he's the GOAT, he's also 52 and been out of the game for over a decade. Most active NBA players should be ashamed if they lost to him at this point, tbh.

Knowing Jordan, he's probably lacing up as we speak so he can prove himself to people who don't care.

Jordan also let himself go and is pretty bloated now lol. Reminds me when my father retired from the military. I was shocked how quickly he got out of shape. If today's player can't beat an out of shape 50+ year old they should be ashamed.

Wasn't completely out of nowhere MJ recently said he thinks he could still beat some of the hornets. I didnt dig deeper but saw that recently online. So a few days (week?) later Ariza counters he would beat Mj. Im guessing he read the article or some reporter asked him ...

No way a 10s player lose to a 90s player, even both in their respective primes? Right?

We know human genes have mutated tremendously over the last 20 years that we are looking at a different human race right now, similar to what the X-Men story line is about.

Still think they should bring back the legends game at the all star break.

I don't agree with any of you losers. I've watched a number of videos of a 50 year old Hakeem and there's not a player in the league who has better post moves than him... and that's including Jim. I'd take Hakeem in one on one over Howard, Jim, Love, and Griffin.

It wasn't out if the blue:

Trevor was in L.A. when we asked the 29-year-old who'd win in a mano a mano face-off between him and #23 ... the topic du jour amongst NBA players this summer. "I better be able to beat him 1-on-1 right now."

That's tmz btw asking. To me it sounds like he was ambushed by an annoying "journalist" celebrity, and he gave the simple true answer.

Please....

Why would anyone in NBA prime shape want to compare themselves to a 52 year old retiree?

This is pure media hype. He was asked (by the TMZ guy) if he could, it's not as if he put out a press release and said he would beat Jordan.

On a side note, I can beat both George Mikan and Wilt Chaimberlain at the same exact time.

I'd be willing to bet there are plenty that could still lose to Kobe (drafted in 1996). To make a less extreme example, I'm sure Tim Hardaway could beat some NBA players in a game or two of pickup.

No, 2-Ball! Bring back 2-Ball! All those WNBA ladies!

Not if it was the year he was banned from the league.

Father Setter Upper would garner all of the energy he has left for one game.
