ceperez
07-03-2015, 04:18 PM
All these Spurs players are going to get paid!

Baynes... $6m+ / year
Belinelli - $6m+ / year
Cojo - maybe $4m+ year

Probably only Ayres and Bonner aren't going to be signed elsewhere.

Green also got a major raise as well as Leonard.

It's just Duncan and Manu that's going take a pay cut to make another run.

The Aldridge re-boot made it clear to everyone in the bench that the Spurs could only afford the vet. minimum. No choice for them to take a deal elsewhere.

I think Pop outcoached himself in that situation. Should have kept with Beli's hot shooting. You've got to let the players decide the game. We're left thinking about what-ifs on his coaching decisions.

yes. The heat were run. His 3 put us up by 10 and the series was over from there. Definitely top 5 plays of the playoffs for us last season.

I was unsure if the Spurs were due for an embarrassing comeback at that point. Yet when Beli hit the shot I knew the game was over and they would hang on to win. That was a dagger shot that takes the life out of the defense.

for a system that thrives in familiarity the Spurs have lost three players from the 2014 championship roster. New pieces will have to acclimate themselves in a complex system.
