Brazilian point guard Marcelo Huertas planning move to NBA. Nice pick up if the Spurs could get him.

Unfortunately, at his age... he wants to get paid!

If it took trading Mills to free up space would you do it for a good playmaking PG who can shoot? The money and role might entice him.

Spurs don't need to extend themselves for a playmaker... they've got Diaw and Anderson already and likely to pick up Manu.

Old but probably not too old to be effective. Sounds like he is seeking a back-up PG position. Could be a bargain CoJo replacement.

The Spurs may need three point shooting (Mills) more than playmaking at this point.

Dude sucks.

Brazilians are going through sport dark ages. I would not touch a Brazilian athlete in any branch of sport at the moment.

Gal Mekel can be add for the minimum, has some familiar with the league, very good floor general and passer, solid defender...

Huertas is basically Priogini at this stage... he was once solid at the 3 pts but nowadays he has hard time to convert at .30. He has good hands, won't create a lot of TOs but he is done imo

His teammate Tomas Satoransky (6-6 PG) would be a much better option. Not sure what it would take to get his rights from the Wizards though.
