BATON ROUGE, La. — Three New Orleans Saints home games this season will be moved to the Alamodome, NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue announced today.

Four others, Tagliabue said, will be played in Baton Rouge at LSU’s Tiger Stadium.

The Saints will play in the Alamodome on Oct. 2 against Buffalo, on Oct. 16 against Atlanta and on Dec. 24 against Detroit.

The Oct. 2 game will be the first regular-season NFL game ever played in the Alamo City.

Saints home games now booked for Baton Rouge are Oct. 30 against Miami, Nov. 6 against Chicago, Dec. 4 against Tampa Bay and Dec. 18 against Carolina

It's wonderful that the Saints will be able to play at least a few games in Louisiana. Their fans deserve that.

I'm glad that we in San Antonio finally get a chance to host a regular season NFL game, and that we'll have the opportunity to see the Saints take on 3 pretty good teams. That should help our case for proving that we could support a team if an opportunity ever arose. I'll buy tickets to all three games, if I can.

On the Fox pre-game show yesterday....they mentioned that the Saints players and coach Haslett had expressed an interest in playing all their home games here. Apparently a meeting with the players and players rep Gene Upshaw got "rather heated" because the players wanted to stay near their families. Essentially they have now 13 road games and they were not happy about it. I would have liked to see the NFL be more receptive to the wishes of the players.

I understand the desire to play in Louisiana and I think its great but I think the players and their families, who were also displaced, should be listened to. Just my .02.

Yes they do...when I went to the Dallas/Detroit game last year, I got some great pictures sitting 5 rows up from the field. I would assume that policy applies all over.

OK, now the city has the games. Three games, gm. one to establish, gm. two to improve or to prove gm one was no fluke and gm three to prove a point. This can go as a positive or as a negative for the city.

Now it's up to the football fans of this city to prove a point and to change the reputation the city established in the past. All three games should be a sellout no matter what and it's not like they are giving us dogs. Buffalo appears to be a team on the rise, Atlanta with Michael Vick and Detroit may be competing for a playoff spot this year.

What are the price ranges for NFL tix these days?

Someone posted this (http://www.houstontexans.com/wpimages/uploaded/pdfs/PriceGuide_r3.pdf) in another thread from the Texans. Prices range from $35 to $84 so I would assume they would be pretty close to that. Club suites are $177 and $279 but of course there aren't many of those in the Alamodome.

I'm definitely going to try and get tickets to the Bills and Falcons games as soon as they go on sale. Don't know about the Lions yet. This is gonna be good.......................

Think of it this way... this is our second chance to screw over Dallas!

First, with getting the Spurs. Now, by getting the Saints.

Those fans that buy tickets now will be like those that supported the Chapperals when they first moved here.

I like the Bills, Son likes the Falcons, and wife likes the Lions. We're there!!!!!!!!! Come on San Antonio let's do our part in making this a success and prove everyone wrong about San Antonio not being a NFL supporting city.

5th row endzone tickets in Reliant Stadium for this weekend's game versus the Steelers go for $53. That is, if you pay face value. :depressed
