Hello everyone, new poster here. Real excited to finally be a part of these forums. I've been reading these forums as a visitor for a couple of months now and finally decided to make an account.

A few things...

I'm actually a Seattle SuperSonics fan (NOT a Thunder fan!). With the obvious absence of my Sonics as the moment, I have been increasingly following the Spurs. Why? Because the San Antonio Spurs CONSISTENTLY present the best chance to eliminate the Thunder from the playoffs, and deny that darn Clay Bennett from ever tasting a championship. Darn that man for taking away my Sonics. :ihit

The Sonics will be back. Some day...

The more I keep up with the Spurs, the more I like them. Trust me Spurs fans, you guys really have no idea how nice you have it with an owner like Peter Holt, a coach like Pop, and a GM like RC. This, in my opinion, is the finest ownership, front office, and coaching combination in the history of professional sports. You guys are the envy of all other NBA fans. Your team is composed of true professionals and class acts and I have nothing but respect for your players; especially Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker (although I can be critical of his on-the-court performance from time-to-time, lol).

I guess you can say the Spurs have gradually become my second favorite team. They will be my favorite "currently activated" team until that day comes when my city gets its Sonics back. Congrats on obtaining Aldridge by the way; that is a huge signing in so many ways.

Tl;dr: I'm a Sonics fan who is excited to be a part of these forums. Thanks for the account approval admins :toast

EDIT: Keep on dominating the Thunder for me, please.

That's the equivalent of a formal introduction on SpursTalk. It goes downhill, once people get to know you.

Edit: Oh, and don't think there's anything you can say to avoid it. You're never safe with a suck-up Pro-Spurs comment. You can't mention any player, good or bad, without someone coming unhinged. I don't drink any more, and it's a definite negative. If you don't drink, I recommend you start. :toast

The only thing that might help at all is if you put 6 of these at the end of your post. :lobt2: Naaahh. That won't help either.

Welcome!

LOL... Jerome James! There's a name you don't hear every day. The man was an absolute foul machine. One season I think he averaged a foul-out about every 20 minutes, give or take.

He left the Kings and played in Europe. Came back to sign with the Sonics. Fucking California government said his domicile was still in Cali, and soaked him for something like $400K in state taxes, for income he earned in Seattle. I never cared for the guy much, but that was just wrong.
