Speaking of outrageous comments by right-wing radio ideologues about Hurricane Katrina...

Nationally syndicated Clear Channel radio host Glenn Beck referred to survivors of Hurricane Katrina who remained in New Orleans as "scumbags."

Also, after acknowledging that nobody "in their right mind is going to say this out loud," Beck attacked victims of the disaster in general and the families of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying: "I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims."

I wonder how many people would find Glenn Becks personal tragedy funny?

"His childhood would not be all hopes and dreams, however. In the same year he "debuted" on radio, his mother, an alcoholic, drowned herself in a bay near Tacoma. "

Make up your favorite joke and send it to Glen Beck at:

Mr. Beck does a fine job of selling products, which is what all of these folks do. What you hear from the radio pundits is nothing but sensationalized garbage to sell products to a captive audience. CNN does it on TV as does FOX and MSNBC. There are plenty of radio hosts to go around as well.

Everyone has to make a living!

Beck is fringe not mainstream...
He's an admitted sinner and person with flaws. Now I think you would have to listen to the whole show to get proper context.

He is a bit acerbic (understatement). I suppose it is like listening to Jim Rome and expecting his views and antics to fall in line with what you personally feel concerning sports. It is not going to happen. Good point Vashner.

Beck makes it a point to go after Bush and cronies if he sees anything wrong. He makes an attempt at some sort of twisted balance...

He's no Sean Hannity that's 4 sure.

I think it goes to show the type of crazy that gravitates to that end of the political spectrum. The left has it's own brand of crazy, but guys like this creep me out waaay more, because I understand how truly immoral they are.
