Seems like Manu is leavieng 300k on the table if thatīs it, i wonder if itīs related to the bigger salary picture or is just missinformation.

unbelievable that West (a never Spur) gave up so much and Manu (a 13 year Spur) didn't

shameful

Eh, I disagree. Manu gave up plenty. I say take care of your own, before you take care of a new-comer. Just my opinion though.

Seriously? You're having this discussion?

There's already a Church of David West. You should go there and light a candle.

Looks like that was the plan all along... damn, he cut his salary 50% in his last deal and now cut again 70%...

Yeah, I'm sure they had the offer out to Manu when West just sort of fell into their laps.

Ginobilli has left more on the table than any spur playing. You think you're getting anyone of his calibur for that amount? Did you see what Marco got? We have the min left. No one left would have been worthy over Manu tbh. You also got to take into account of showing future prospects we take care of our own.

mmm not buying it

I am pretty sure someone in the Spurs office informed Manu of the West decision and he went ahead and told them yes and wrote some ramblings on the spot.

I will be quite happy with 12 or less minutes Manu. As long as Pop doesn't insert him in close games and he turns it over or shoot a brick (which he usually does now)

Unfortunately we don't have a balls deep closer. Sure Green should close games, but for some reason Pop doesn't let him. I'm all for Green closing games. but we definitely miss Beli in that aspect

as for Porker, I will see how much he tones chissels his body to game shape and see how much that helps. I really have no great expectations for him either.

It could be a horrible season for our small guys IMO I just don't see the solution here

our achilles heel is definitely our guard play now. Bunch of old broken bodies. Patty is a backup and Green can't dribble a basketball.

Correct, need someone to take Pendergraph's place who can run the show for 5-10 minutes a game.

If we had Beli, I would say we are a lock to win it all save major injury. Even with his flaws, balls deep Beli would show up 30% of the time and we'd just finish teams.

but now we have NOBODY with a complete game. the best we can hope is Parker to regain some form and Manu to remain healthy. 2 huge IFs

I can picture it now, backs up, waits for the shot clock to get down to 8 seconds... Dribble dribble shoots 3 from 26 feet

Tim Duncan - underpaid
Tony Parker - overpaid, but I believe he can switch it around
Manu - David West deserved the RE
Kawhi Leonard - properly paid
Danny Green - underpaid
Patty Mills - underpaid
Boris Diaw - underpaid
Lamarcus Aldridge - properly paid
David West - highway robbery smfh

Manu at $2 million is a steal. Even in decline, he could fetch more than that from a contender out there. I mean, the guy can play 1, 2, and 3 spots. That's a lot of flexiblity and depth. It will come in handy this season.

Don't worry. The Spurs will take care of West next season when they have a boatload of money given the increase in the cap and the retirement of Manu (and probably Tim).

Tim Duncan is clearly the player who left more money on the table to help the Spurs, and right after him, is Manu Ginobili.
I donīt understand the complaining here, you prefer to reward someone who gave you nothing instead of someone who has consistently help you??
Thatīs not the message you wanna send West, Aldridge or anyone, you want to show that you reward those who sacrificed first.
Letīs not forget that West is not doing this FOR THE SPURS, but for himself, he wants to winand the Spurs are his mean.
