Silent, and no bird kill. And did I mention it they estimate 40% cheaper than existing wind power generators?

yeh and how many of those do you need to sustain a suburb?

Depends on the electrical useage of the suburb. They actually provide an estimate in the crowdsourcing webpage.

Takes about two big full size units to supply one house in the US. If a suburb contains 20,000 houses that would be 40,000 units.

Been thumbing through their data, and the individual units are less efficient than regular turbines, but also much less expensive.

Have to run though the data to see how that translates into $/Kwh.

My guess is that the big savings come in maintenance, and fewer leasing costs due to less required space, but that is a bit harder to calculate.

Then why all the Fracking?
