So I am very happy that Jordan is going back to the Clippers. The Southwest Division is the hardest division in basketball and it is not even close. Coming in 2 or 3 in the SW should qualify you as 2 and 3 in playoff seeding it is that good. Teams like GS last year had 3 teams under .500 in their division. If you look at their record they were 13-3 against the division while they best team in the SW was 9-7 (Grizzlies) against the SW. The Spurs could use a sub .500 Dallas team that is intentionally tanking. Last year, each team was .549 or better.

Clippers improved. Adding Stephenson and Pierce to their wing positions pretty much plugged up a giant weakness. Pierce also adds some much need clutch mentality.

I think there's a good chance the Clippers and Spurs will meet in the playoffs. The West is pretty tough with the reigning champs, improved Clippers, and Thunder if healthy. The first round should be easier though. Blazers and Mavs will probably fall out of playoff contention allowing new first round fodder to claim a spot.

Meh--interstate rivalries are great and all, but if you can't put that aside in this case, you are one cold hearted S.O.B. The Mavs got royally screwed, and I'm on board with beating the Clipps into the ground on their behalf. The fact that we owe them payback as well just makes it sweeter.

Lol. Imagine Dirk off the bench for the Spurs getting tons of open looks courtesy of Manu and Diaw. It'd be candy. Highest bench output in league history. Plus, with the reduced minutes, Dirk could go another three years.
