But also one injury away from winning 6.

this would only makes to anyone who has followed the spurs and understands the game at a deep level.

With that in mind, how many games do you think Pop will rest Star players TD, Manu, Aldridge and Kawhi?

Over or under 30, the number of cumulative games these 4 star players miss this season because of injury and rest?

10 for tim 20 for manu 8 for LMA and 10 for Kawhi.

The big 4 will miss 48 games in total.

I doubt he'll rest Kawhi and Aldridge for more than a few games IMO..

Zach Lowe and Kevin Arnovitz discussed this on Lowe's podcast the other day, they were saying one of the biggest factors of Aldridge's addition is that it will maximize Duncan's rest to the extreme, and that Pop would understand how much to rest him without jeopardizing chemistry..

Seems pretty realistic that we can expect Duncan to at least physically look like he did in the Clippers series, which is scary:lol..he still managed to elevate his game in April, despite barely resting all year, including that historically bad December stretch..

If Parker hadn't been injured, maybe the Spurs would have won their 6th last season.

There. I said Parker before you did, but with respect for a former Finals MVP.

Hoping for Kawhi to avoid the customary out-15-games injury this season, tbh..It has derailed his development missing pretty much all pre-season with eye infection then when he was about to crush it and be an all star he picks a up weird hand sprain..

^^ Ya, chemistry is going to be more important than ever, this year..Kawhi needs to stay healthy, no more weird injuries, hopefully..

Splitter missed a lot of games early in his career that really slowed down his development and ultimately derailed his career. I remember how we thought The Twin Towers of Splitter and Duncan would dominate for years. Let's hope the same doesn't happen to Kawhi and his career. He had so much promise but failed to take it to the next level this past season and ultimately taking a back seat to Matt Barnes in the playoffs.

Aren't all contenders one injury away from being out of the race?

Don't forget West is also pretty old, he's probably gonna get rested too here and there

Oohhhhh. Another apalisoc_9 thread against Tony Parker. What's new?

In answer to your question, I think Pop will rest Star player Tony Parker 8-10 games this season.

Not all on the same degree..Warriors would probably still win the title last year without klay thompson but not without Draymond green; Spurs would have done so without Parker all along but not without Gino in 2014..Clippers/Rockets/Grizzlies are more vulnerable to falling off if they lose a key cog..

Kawhi failed to take it the next level? He made the leap in the latter part of the season.

Since the Spurs have only one C and one true SF, hope Tim and Kawhi can stay healthy all season.

Spurs need a reliable backup Center and Wing badly. Pop's going to have to be a wizard in managing minutes this year.

Exactly. If the Cavaliers were in the Western conference then they wouldn't even pass the first round with the kind of injuries they had.

Of course. He's just trying to be more subtle about it so he doesn't get banned.
