Great Political move but a good one.

Rove is a genius.

boutons
09-13-2005, 11:35 AM
shrub, dumbfuck befuddled tool that he is, will say whatever Rove tells him to say.

Of course, if there were any punishment, pain, or liability in admitting responsibilty, we'd hear fuck all from him.

Talk is cheap, shrub's talk is especially without value.

And we know shrub is lying because the right-wing/conservative/red-state/ shouting/fogging machine has been blasting us 24x7 for days now with their "truth" that only NO and LA fucked up, while shrub/DHS/FEMA were absolutely perfect, even better than ever.

(Have I got right, TRO and whott?)

If the feds were fault free, then why is there a need for shrub to admit "responsibility"?

Damn, it really hard to make all the lies fit together coherently, isn't it?

Personally, I feel as though the government on all levels failed, not just at the Federal Level. The governor of NO was just as responsible for the slow response and the unorganized planning.

Apology is a good first step. Now we'll see how he reacts the next time something like this happens and see if he's really learned from his mistakes.

"become a lobbyist"

A wonderfully practical suggestion, thank you.

"get people into office that you think will make a difference"

... I'm waiting for the next election, thanks again.

In the meantime, I play nasty, uncivil, pissed-off hardball right back at the conservatives/Repugs. They really get pissed off when the tactics they originated are turned back on them, but they should have thought of that (two can play the game) when they took political discourse and public life in USA in that direction starting with Poppy/Atwater in 88 election, and continued with the likes of Gingrich/Starr in 90s, and now with lying, sliming scumbags Rove/Hastert/Delay/Frisk in the 2000's.

But I don't have enough 100s of $Ms to corrupt the campaign in my preferred direction, and elections and votes, ie, the American people, are bought and sold like anything else, to the highest bidder, the deepest pockets.

What do you do? Do you write letters, protest, campaign? Or do you just bitch in this forum?

Because you seem to have a lot of passion behind your convictions, that's why I threw out the lobbyist comment.

I don't understand why Kori's suggestion would be anything but practical. What do you do? How well do you know your reps? Mine know me. Probably not by first name, but they know me.

Boutons strikes me as the ever present internet bitcher. The person who has crazy ideas of the people in politics and the way things work because they never get off their ass to do anything about it. They never see the way things actually work, so they continue with thier fantasy worlds that are so obvious to them but oh so crazy to anyone in the real world.

Manny, since I don't post in the direction you want, I'm an "Internet bitcher", but if I were bitching in defense of shrub/Repugs/Iraq war, like most posters here, I'd be a what?

And since I need to earn a living, where would I have time to be an effective lobbyist in Austin or DC? Who's gonna pay my bills while I take my bitchin to the govts?

And how many posters here of right-wing/conservative postion are posting here and being told essentially to STFU and go be a lobbyist?

What you don't understand is my contempt for your political posts has nothing to do with partisan leanings. It lies within your inability to look at a situation in an objective manner but instead spinning everything Bush or Republicans do as the next evil step in their evil plan.

There is no evil plan at work. They are pushing an agenda that simply doesn't meet with yours.

Also, I can't give someone who can't use proper names any credibility. Your use of "repug" and "shrub" is childish as all hell. It brings nothing to a discussion and just becomes part of your annoying posts.

Boutons, you are an internet bitcher in my book because you sit here and post "passionatly" but I doubt you've ever even spoken with your elected officials. You don't take the simpe steps to enact change that take all of 20 minutes out of a day.

Am I wrong?

You're so wrapped up in your ditrades that you don't even realize I'm nowhere near right wing.

i dunno why people gotta be hating on bush... really, he's doing the best he can under the circumstances. alot of the shit isn't his fault, its just hes the president and so part of being the president is taking the blame when the hammer falls. Like in NO, do you really think it was on bush's prediction list? Sure, he was probably aware of the problems they would have if a category 4/5 hurricane hit, but it wasn't on the top of his agenda. Now, hes forced to take the blame and say we fucked up. Okay. Leave it at that.

Actually he and the local government of NO both had 48 hours notice that the hurricane was coming. And it is common knowledge that NO lies below sea level and should any category of hurricane hit the city....the results would not be good.

So to answer your question, yes, it was partially on his "prediction list" and it should have been on the top of not only his agenda but also the local government's agenda.

"colon pounder"

More BS tossed down from the peanut gallery.

Powell was an honorable man with an honorable career until he played with the Repug pigs and got covered with their shit.

His irrefutable evidence of "mobile bio weapons lab" before the UN as yet-another "rationale du jour" for invading Iraq, who handed him that fantasy?
