Can't see anything on the web about it. With those of you that have gone to opening night, how are ticket prices for decent seats? Oh yeah, when do tix sales go up? Not asking for a specific date but just an estimation of when.

Halloween is about when the first regular season will be. Pre-season about mid October.

Early August usually..

I bet opening night will be either Warriors vs Lakers(Return of Kobe), Warriors vs Thunder(Return of Durant), or Warriors vs Spurs(Champions vs conference favorites & previous champions).

will they start the season a little earlier and cut pre season or is everything as it ever was?

Adam Silver's made a few comments about the need to stretch out the season and shorten pre-season, but I'm noticing that he seems to make these blanket kind of statements, then they just seem to go by the wayside. Just like with the whole Hack-a-Shaq thing. I guess we shall see.

I think the NBA is saving Warriors vs Spurs for Christmas.

Would be cool to get the Blazers on opening night. Have Aldridge face his old team and easy win for us too. :lol

Basically since the basketball universe was deprived of a badass fucking series between these two teams. On some real shit, that would be the most cleanest amazing basketball possible imo. And I don't particularly hate the Warriors, I do respect the fuck out of them and the way they play.

Yeah, I can't see Warriors vs Spurs on opening night for two reasons:
1) too high of a chance of the Spurs winning
2) motivating the Spurs by making them watch another team's ring ceremony in person

Yeah, the NBA should be smart enough to schedule the majority of the Lakers' nationally televised games early in the season before Kobe's inevitable season-ending injury. Like 10 in November, 5 in December, then 0 for the rest of the season.

I was able to get some quotes for a 10 game package. Sec 109, row 27... Tickets per game were 167 a piece...

I can guarantee you we will having people bitching about how the Spurs have X amount of back-to-backs and the Warriors/Thunder/Cavs only have Y amount.

My grandma complains about that every year

I remember:

"Spurs have 18 back-to backs, and the Lakers only have 13 and play 17 of their first 20 games at home! Stern is such a damn kike!"

OR, 2011-12 lockout year:

"Spurs have 3 back-to-back-to-backs, and the Lakers only have one and it's at the beginning of the season! Stern is such a damn kike!"

Same here. I have been waiting for the schedule release to plan a trip home to Texas to see the Spurs.

Awesome to see that 4-in-5s are almost gone. I wonder if this means a reduction in back-to-backs total, or will there be a similar numbers of those, only spread out more?

Either way, this might mean more games played for Duncan and Ginobili, which might mean a decrease in MPG for those two. Pop seems to be more concerned with total minutes played than games played.

I'm curious to see how this plays out too. I wonder, would Tim and Manu choose to play less minutes per game but play all 82 games? Or play slightly more minutes on average but take full games off and play ~65-70 games. You have to think while both strategies may result in the same number of minutes played, taking full games off does something for a player's mental stamina.
