I got to be a ballboy too for a game, against the Bullets in 1988. And sitting right under the basket about 5 feet from the action, isn't the game unbelievably physical in a way you can't even see from courtside seats? It was pretty eye-opening watching Frank Brickowski and Moses Malone just beat the shit out of each other in the paint all game. I never knew NBA players were such hardasses until I got the chance to watch them from that close, you can't see it from row 20, row 10, or even row 1.

That must have been unbelievable to see David Robinson play from a ballboy's seat. I have seen him that close in a Spurs practice at Incarnate Word and his athleticism was unreal, but courtside is the closest I have seen him in actual game action.

My best is easily the Memorial Day Miracle. Worst would be going to Spurs vs Celtics or Spurs vs Lakers in the mid to late 80s when everyone in the crowd would be some faggot in the other team's Starter jacket. This shit always pissed me off so much.

Worst: 2015 reg season nailbiting loss to clips... duncan had a throwback 30 pt game, but spurs lost. kawhi was pretty bad that game, crawford was hitting everything... only loss i've ever attended

2005 NBA Finals Game 7. Awesome on so many levels.

Honorable Mention:
2013 NBA Finals Game 5. Spurs win to go up 3-2. My memory is fading me because I can't recall how the series ended up.

Worst:
Don't really remember a bad one! They lost to the Warriors when I saw them way back in 1996, but I was still so happy to be there.

Or how about Game 2 in the 1995 WCF when about 75% of the crowd was rooting for the Rockets and about 90% of the courtside seats :rolleyes

Game 1 of the 2007 WCF was pretty pathetic when the Spurs couldn't sell out the game...

Thankfully I didn't attend any of the 95 WCF, though I might as well have since watching Games 1 & 2 on First Choice PPV was $39.95 for each game. Yeah, that didn't feel great to spend that much to watch maybe the two most bitter losses in franchise history (well, at least for people too young for the 79 ECF). I gotta say I'm thankful for the 99 lockout for killing off home games being on PPV.

Game 6 of the 2013 finals happened to go down as the worst night of my life. Got arrested for assault that night for getting into a fight at a bar when some heat fan kept running his mouth and grabbed my ladies tit and said he owned her like lebron owns Duncan or something to that effect. No witnesses saw him grab her but everyone saw me deck that bastard. At least the cop let me change out of my spurs jersey. Said someone might try and rape me in jail with that on.

Best game I attended was one when we had Turkoglu.. we were down to the Pacers like 8 points w/ 4 minutes remaining, and all the faggot Spur fans started filing out.. A few buckets and one huge Turkoglu 3 with time running out and we forced OT, and got the W.

I went to game 3 in Memphis the year they beat the spurs in the first round. It was brutal. Those fans were so rowdy. I did not feel comfortable at the game or on Beale Street. Luckily I didn't catch a charge or get 187'd in Memphis like in Miami.

Best: Spurs came back from 8 down in the last 2 minutes to beat the Celtics (Jan 2003 IIRC? I was almost 9 at the time, still 8 though) Stephen Jackson made a huge 3 on an ill-advised attempt to put us up 1 with like 7 seconds left. Crowd went nuts. Pierce missed at the buzzer on the other end. We won the championship that year, David's last.

Worst: Spurs lost by 20+ at home to the Nuggets with the stars sitting out, last game of the season. Starters were Jackie Butler, Beno Udrih and a bunch of other scrubs. (April 2007) Only interesting time of the game was when the jumbotron camera focused on TD/Manu's faces. I really wanted to sue the team for that one, but I was 13. I resorted to rooting for the Suns to win it all that year, was happy when the Mavs got booted by the Warriors, pissed with the Amare/Diaw suspensions and Bowen's three... but eventually reconciled when the Spurs (unsurprisingly) beat the Cavs. Still my least favorite championship by far out of the 5.

Best: 2014 Opening Night

Worst: My first Spurs game in 1993 at Hemisfair (got busted by an usher for videotaping part of the game but talked my way out of losing my tape) and we ended up losing to a shitty Kings team wearing baby blue unis.

Man I can't believe you were at game 6 of the 2006 playoffs and .4, talk about deflating going home after those losses. Like you said the high of Duncans shot and the low of Fishers a moment later, then the obstacles overcome (Down 3-1 and then 20 in game 7) looking like the Spurs would do the impossible against their rivals and then Manu's foul came :( Talk about some real highs and lows to witness first hand there, must have sucked.

Best: the Spurs @Knicks during the horrible Thomas head coaching era. They were getting destroyed all game. Spurs didn't lead all game till Finley tied it to push it to overtime. Spurs ended up winning. The Knicks were so bad at the time, it felt like a Spurs home game.

Worst: wasn't because of the Spurs play, as a child I peed my pants at Spurs/Nuggets game in hemisphere arena. It's the reason I wear diapers to all Spurs games ever since.

Game 4 of the 2001 playoffs when they eliminated the Timberwolves in round one at Target Center was my best.

The 2014 game at AT&T when Reggie Jackson went nuts in the fourth quarter and Kawhi broke his hand was easily the worst. Made a rare trip to SA for that one.

I live up in Northern Minnesota, so I don't get to see the Spurs in person very often. I do watch all of their games on league pass and nationally televised games.

Yah man, I should probably put 2006 G7 as worse than 0.4 because it actually ended the season. I went to that game with my Dad and a lady he took out, so I drove home by myself :( Talk about depressing. The 0.4 game was more shocking than anything. Because we really hadn't seen it live in a great slow-mo replay until we got home, I honestly thought somehow the league would overturn it or something. I though, there's no way that if a player needs 0.3 to catch and shoot, that in 0.4 Fisher could have caught an inbound pass below his hip, made a full turn to the basket, and released it above his head in less than 0.4. Well, as we all know, the clock operator started it about 0.2 late (of course one can argue the Duncan basket went in before 0.4, etc), but I still held out a little hope for G6, but not much.

I also live in Minnesota. Moved here from Texas about 10 years ago. I go to the games when the spurs play at the target center and I try to see them play when they travel to Milwaukee, Chicago, or Indianapolis. I usually make it down to Texas a few times per year to see some spurs games but League pass is usually my only option to see them play.

I live in Portland (moved to the US in 2010) and have watched the Spurs play here a couple of times, but I'm sure the experience is even better in San Antonio.

Followed a lot of the Blazers too so it's pretty cool how Aldridge and MVPatty ultimately ended up playing for the Spurs.

This was my first ever Spurs game I watched, ending with this moment unfortunately. :lol

2008 game 1 vs. Suns ...the Timmeh 3pointer!
2010 game 6 vs. Mavs ... Eliminated the higher seeded Mavs to avenge '06 heartbreak and '09 ass kicking. Typical Spurs Mavs game. Spurs roar to 20 point lead, Mavs erase deficit in blink of an eye, but good ole George Hill saved the Spurs bacon.
2011 game 5 vs. Grizz ... Manu's insane corner 3 that wasn't. Gary Neal's 3 pointer at the buzzer to force OT. Spurs staved off elimination. At that time, most of us still thought the Spurs would come back and win the series.

Worst

2010 games 3 and 4 vs. Suns ... Spurs get swept. Timmeh looked done. End of an era ... Or so we thought.
2013 game 5 vs. Thunder ... So much for the 20 game winning streak. Spurs played like dog shit, yet managed to stay alive until Harden's dagger 3. I still wonder if Manu's last second 3 would have gone in if he hadn't stepped on the ref's foot. Yes, the ref was ON THE COURT instead of out of bounds.
1995 game 1 vs. Rockets ... That was finally supposed to be "our" year. Top seed. "5-0" wins MVP. A very entertaining series, but a horrible result, starting with game 1.

I literally lost my voice from yelling so much. It was insane. Most exciting game ever.

Most of the games that I have been too they have won so I don't really have many to choose from.

Spurs vs Nets 2003 NBA Finals Game 2
I was excited about going to my first finals game. Seats were high up but was excited to be there. It was a letdown performance, i think we were down the whole game, had a chance there at the end but Jackson airballed a 3 pointer to tie the game.

That was R2 Game 1, just to clarify. The Spurs would lose Game 2 of that series.

I've only been to a handful of games, most of them pre-season or regular season. Almost all of them were Spurs victories.

1. 2008 Playoffs, Round 1 Game 1: Duncan erupts for 40 and 15, Finley forces OT with a game-tying three towards the end of regulation, Duncan famously forces double-OT with a three-pointer at the end of overtime, Ginobili wins it on a bank shot in the lane.
2. 2009 Regular Season: Largely forgettable, just a regular season game, but the Spurs get a steal with the game tied late in the fourth, Parker finds Manu in the right corner for three, he missed, the rebound falls to Parker in the low post, Tony spins and sinks a rainbow over his defender as time expires to give the Spurs the win.

That was R2 Game 1, just to clarify. The Spurs would lose Game 2 of that series.

And Manu's three in Game 7 was for the first lead of the game, with 32 seconds to go. Dirk's and-1 tied it up, forced overtime.
That's right, thanks. Those are awesome games you posted btw. Is the Parker game winner the one against the 76ers where Elliott says "it's good" right before it goes in on the broadcast?

Honestly, it always bugged me that Parker took the really tough low percentage shot instead of flicking it to Ginobili for the open three...

Best 2005 finals game 1- only finals game I have had the luck of going to. Great game we were down by 10 or 15 points in the first then took the lead by the end of the period.

Worst?? There are no worst for me... Win or lose we just go to support our team. However I was disappointed with fans at the first game I ever went to at the hemisfair arena. Random game against Utah in which we gave up the lead in the last few minutes. Fans started booing and throwing signs and other things on the court. Not to mention the pillar right in front of me....

Easy.

Best: All the NBA Finals games where they won at home.

Worse: .4 (I was sick to my stomach)

Yup, that's the one. I was near the top of the lower bowl, opposite corner from where Parker shot the game winner.

Man, so many people on ST were at that 0.4 game. Maybe it scarred us all so bad we had to join a community to cope.
