A really great article on the impact that Tim Duncan has had on the NBA and the Spurs. I think as Spurs fans we have been spoiled for so many years by this soft-spoken, humble man and I wish more around the league would appreciate Tim Duncan because he has done so much for the game of basketball and also for the community. It will be a very sad day when he does retires and I hope to see him get another championship or two before he retires. It is only fitting that he goes down as one of the greatest players in NBA history.

I feel lucky as a Spurs fan to have spent the last 18 seasons watching Timmy play basketball. And I feel even luckier that I get to watch hin play for a few more seasons. :toast

I've always thought the online fanbase hasn't shown Tim enough respect.

Half the people were looking to call the Spurs 'Parker's team' all the way back in 2009.

Tim is a Legend that is just continuing to echo. It would be interesting to see all the changes he influenced in his career. This year might also qualify.

Oh you mean how people here were begging for him to retire because he was old and his salary was a hindrance for the Spurs in moving forward. Lol. I would be humiliated to show my face around here

What's wrong with "9inchdude"? He could have a 9 inch vertical for all you know, or a fan of Nine Inch Nails. Mind out of the gutter

Things were looking bad before he slimmed down and pop changed the offense. No one knew the beautiful basketball spurs 2.0 were around the corner.
