View Full Version : Spurs: Kyle Anderson and Jonathan Simmons have been a great wing punch in SL.

SloMo been's great. Yeah, his FG% is about 40 percent, but he's getting to the line a lot and converting at an 83% rate, so his overall efficiency is good. And Simmons has been quite the surprise, averaging solid SG numbers: 15ppg, 4rpg, 4apg on 51% shooting.

And these two figure to be in the Spurs rotation, giving us much, much needed wing depth that we didn't have last year. Hopefully these guys aren't just Summer League heroes and continue their trajectory into the regular season.

Man, the Spurs drafting, scouting, and player development is simply unmatched, unlike some other teams I won't mention here.

Only a matter of time before Mitch offers Anderson the max and gets rejected because Kobe asks him to be his Sasha Vujacic.

To be fair, he did something Kawhi couldn't... nail 2 clutch ones already up 2 at the bitter end with the championship on the line...

The Dynamic Duo (someone think of a better name) came through again. Leading their team to the SL Finals, baby!

Might as well take 10-15% of his FG once he plays with actual NBA players and not some college washouts.

SloMo's lack of quickness, athleticism will always be a worry, but I think Simmons will be a legit 8-10 points on 45%ish shooting off the bench, which will come in handy.

The consistency has been impressive. It's not just one or the other, a game here or a game there. They both bring it every night. And they've carried a bunch of shitheads into the SL Finals.

Impressive.

I think Simmons and Patty together will be fun to watch, especially if the Spurs go small ball in the 2nd unit every now and then.

Exactly my thinking... penetrator-shooter combo would be great
