Divac Takes Donations to Hurricane Victims
Former Sacramento King Vlade Divac returned to town to collect donations to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. He spent night outside his restaurant at the Pavillions taking in food, medical supplies, toiletries and other basic needs. He loaded them all up in a 25-foot truck which he will himself down to Louisiana.
"It's going to be a 30-hour drive, and people say it's going to be tough, but it's not going to be tough when you do things like this it's actually going to be easy, to go there and knowing that you can help people," Divac said.
Divac is working with his children's foundation, Group Seven, to help children displaced by the hurricane.
