This card is going to be fucking insane. Can't wait to see the Karate Hottie fight again. Weidman Rockhold as a co-main is just absurd. That would be a really good MAIN any other event. Damn. UFC bringing the heat this year with the cards. Little bit feast or famine though.

I have no idea who is going to win Weidman/Luke? Going back and forth. Luke is very well rounded and also a huge MW. He is a beast on the ground and his striking is excellent. I think if his conditioning holds up, Weidman is in for a war.

+1 plus Luke has some unorthodox scrambling ability with transitions to tricky submissions. Tough fight to pick.

Luke IMO training at AKA has the better team, and training partners than Weidman has with Serra and Longo in New York. Could be the difference..

My concern with Conor should he win is he's talking about immediately going up to lightweight to fight the contenders there. Possibly even for the title right away. Not something one does when they just win a belt in a lower weight class. I get it from the point of view of making a lot of money and keeping his pay-per-view buys high, but I am not sure he is right for that division.

Main Card
Featherweight José Aldo (c) vs. Conor McGregor (ic)
Conor has insane confidence and I think the right mentality to put on a show. I like his reach, his creativity and that big left to end this one inside of 3..
Middleweight Chris Weidman (c) vs. Luke Rockhold
I think Chris edges it out with his wrestling and wins a UD.. But this is a close one..
Middleweight Ronaldo Souza vs. Yoel Romero
Welterweight Demian Maia vs. Gunnar Nelson
Featherweight Max Holloway vs. Jeremy Stephens

José Aldo vs. Conor McGregor - so happy that this fight is finally happening. Conor, TKO, Round 3.
Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold - super tough fight to call, and I really like both fighters, but I think that Rockhold is more well-rounded than Weidman, and he does train with DC and Cain...
Ronaldo Souza vs. Yoel Romero - another super tough fight to call... but should be an awesome one. Man, I love this card.
Demian Maia vs. Gunnar Nelson - I think Maia edges it out on the ground.
Max Holloway vs. Jeremy Stephens - Holloway is the muthaf-n man.
Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Saenz - duh

Weidman was dominated. I thought Rockhold had a pretty good chance to beat him, but I was not expecting such a domination like that.
Sad for Aldo, but McGregor really got into his head. Aldo fought angry and paid the price for it. You don't go all-in like that in the beggining of the fight against the best counter-attacker of the division.
Looking forward for the rematch.

Yep. If Aldo is going to be that arrogant and throw something so stupidly aggressive, he doesn't deserve a rematch. Let him win a few as a non-title holder first.

He looked *REALLY* tight. I don't want to say he was injured, but he was swinging one arm and keeping the other tucked. He definitely did not look ready. Conor looked absolutely like it was his moment. Even Joe said something to that effect before the opening bell.

Conor just has insane confidence and swagger. He is very unique in that yes he is selling himself, but it is not all bullshit.. This man truly believes he is the best.. I am not putting him in the GSP or Jon Jones class yet, but he is DAMN Good!!

I didn't like Aldo's body language at all, anyone notice him looking down the entire time before the fight? He looked down while he was being introduced and continued to look down as the refs gave them instructions. Joe Rogan was saying something about the pressure of the fight getting to Aldo. Man, what a let down. I honestly thought this would be a GSP-Koscheck situation in which one person talks endless shit (Koscheck) and gets owned by the silent fighter (GSP) when the fight happens. Mcgregor backed up all his trash talk, I have to give him his respect he's the real deal. Aldo has to get his mind and his body right, it's gunna be tough to bounce back from this one but he can do it.

Can someone fucking tell me why Romero didn't get deducted?! He held up his body weight for a good two seconds and just got a warning? It was the worst cage grab I've ever seen. My only guess is the bitch ref didn't see it the whole time which makes since. He blew it worse than the judges who called that fight

A one punch fight does not deserve any rematch right away. Aldo pulled out in July mostly because he was not confident IMO. Now it's a one punch KO..

It warrants a rematch when the guy who lost is considered by some p4p greatest and is still young AND the guy who won was considered unworthy by some to even get the shot

That's true. I'm not opposed to him fighting for the belt again, but let him beat up some other contenders, if nothing else to get his confidence back. A loss like that HAS to affect you, and Conor would have a titanic mental edge if there was an immediate rematch.
I'm all for the Edgar/Conor hype train. Frankie is my favorite fighter, but it's hard for me to see him beating Conor.

That loss could single-handedly destroy his entire career. He was promising Brazilians everywhere that he would dominate, and shut Conor up for everything he had done and said. Sadly all of his Brazilian fans had to be humiliated on that night.
