Just heard that Rogers' mom dies today and he is scheduled to pitch tonight and I just heard that he is still going to pitch.
This is sad news. I can not understand how he can concentrate on his game after this news today.
But if he does pitch...I commend him for doing so to help his floundering team right the ship.

I wonder if he was not close to his mom
geez it is not like it is the playoffs and the one game out of 200 is going to matter that much

They are playing against the team that leads them in the wild card race, in the Marlins. He was very close to him mom, but she had been sick for a awhile, so he probably was expecting this.

Roger gets the go ahead RBI in the 2nd inning.
Bases loaded, Roger gets the walk to bat in the go ahead run.
Astros up 2-1.
