View Full Version : Will any Spurs be in new Space Jam sequel?

With King James spilling the beans about Warner Brothers working with him to develop a sequel to Space Jam, you have to imagine that some Spurs might be called upon to have their talent drained by the next generation of Monstars.

The candidates that seem the most likely:

Tony Parker
Kawhi Leonard
Tim Duncan
Boris Diaw
Matt Bonner

Obviously the rest are unsuitable for various reasons. Will any of the Monstars need to be bug eyed? Fat? Useless? Seduce a woman? Hit a clutch free throw?

Which Spur has the acting chops to get the job done, tbh...

Aldridge is one of the most likely.

Kawhi would've been a good candidate for the first one because of his hand size. So I guess him.

I never watched the first Space Jam. Seemed like a gay version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, thb.

Except LeBitch would never let his kryponite appear in it

Can we get Tony Parker to voice this guy?

Lebron and Danny are boys, so maybe Green?

Is LeBron going to lose in this Space Jam? Is Brian Windhorst going to blame it on his teammates being cartoons? Is Skip Bayless going to close the movie saying Jordan would've won this one too? Oh, the suspense!!!

I do not see any Spurs being part of it ... only Timmy would be cool ... they could spin this zombie thing.

Problem is, this is intergalactic competition and they need the monstars to finish better than 3rd place :toast

I imagine the only real candidates would be Kawhi, LMA, or Manu

Spurs are too nice and no attitude to be monSTARS.

i am guessing its going to be like Carmelo, Chris Paul, Wade, etc. all of Lebrons homies.

Manu already has a lot of love form someone from the looney toons, his name was dropped in that cartoon more than a few times

edit: here's more info about this, never knew this lol

Someone needs to gif the pink rabbit holding up the Manu bb card with the caption, "Manu Ginobili... I lo__ve Manu Ginobili."

Matt Bonner is the big bad boss in the movie.

The real question is why is there going to be a Space Jam 2? Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Kawhi definitely won't be in there since he has zero personality and can't act. Duncan won't do it since he's never been into these type of things. Parker there is a chance since he loves attention he might get a shot on there. Aldrige and Green also have a chance to get on there.

Ginobili either as a cameo because he is already linked to warner cartoons or to be drained by the latino token monstar.

Oh wow, I was expecting some TheOnion shit when they talked about Duncan watching looney tunes, tbh :lol

I guess Manu has an in now... any Monstars with a heavily receded hairline?

^^^^^^ This TBH
Although I'd say personality wise, only Tony and Danny would be interested. Tony could be a throw in for the international fans, but he played so poorly this past season that it seems unlikely. Danny is not considered a star. I could see a cameo by Timmy or Manu or something like that. (Something along the week of greatness being back :-)

'The Looney Toons Show' is a lot funnier than the old stuff. I might have to watch an episode or two.

Mengke Bateer, he already acted in a movie and did well for himself. Also it was a fairly good movie.

One thing to consider is how meh the monstars were in the movie.

Seriously, I didn't realize it until this post. (https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/3dyejg/the_monstars_were_easily_the_worst_team_charles/)

Its prolly gonna be Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, etc. The usual people the media push.
