They're a Raptors game away and stop at the unemployment line from seeing all of their departed free agents.

The last three games in SA; good news for fans looking for a window of cheap entertainment. I imagine one can find great deals for preseason tickets.

I'd read about this; but I don't remember seeing it. Was this in game or after?

Dude's a total ass deuche for doing this (preseason or not). He shouldn't presume to apologize b/c the other team is properly running their organization. Buyer beware on tickets. Consumers want to cry? Stop f'ing overpaying in the first place. Pay a reasonable price and hope for the best.

I did want to sue the Spurs for sitting EVERYONE during the last game (at home) of the 2006-2007 season, a 30 point blowout loss to the Nuggets, who, by the way, started and played Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson and everyone else they had. It was my belated 13th birthday present (the only Spurs game I got to go to all year) and it cost over $60 counting gas, parking and Whataburger for my mom and I, even though we sat in the nosebleeds. Nuclear waste of money, she could have gotten me a decent prostitute for that instead. The only applause of the game came sometime in the 2nd quarter when the jumbotron showed the big 3 in row 5 laughing and eating Cracker Jack's. Pathetic.

And the Spurs won the title that year. Or would you rather they have not rested for the playoffs and risked injury to play guys for a meaningless regular season game? You learned a valuable lesson that day about understanding benefits/risks. Sixty dollars well spent.

Even as a lifelong fan (2003 and 2005 were like the greatest things ever for me, 2006 was horrible especially since I hated the post-Nash era Mavs, and my memories of 1999 weren't as significant as even though I remembered when it happened I was only 5 at the time) I was pulling for the Suns to win the championship that year.

I felt like the Spurs were kind of becoming punks like the Lakers were from 1999-2004, and the Suns were the "good guys" like the Spurs were during the Laker years led by who I thought was the ultimate nice guy, Steve Nash. At 12/13 in early 2007 (birthday is end of March) I was full of emotion and starting puberty and just starting to explore the world of sex. I had a huge Oedipus complex in February-March of that year (my mom has always been single and very nice/young looking, but for a couple months there I was trying to check her out at every opportunity for some reason). While I was f***ing thrilled that the underdog Warriors knocked off the evil Mavs, I was miffed with the league for what I felt was a rig job to give the Spurs the series over the Suns and then the final hammer, the Amare and Diaw suspension for the pivotal game from an incident caused by Robert Horry. I sort of lost interest in the last two playoff rounds, maybe except for the Cavs-Pistons series where I was glad the hated Pistons got defeated.

Cliffnotes: 2007 was by FAR AND AWAY my least favorite Spurs championship.

2007 also felt extremely expected and predictable. There was no storyline to the title run, either, except getting lots of help in the playoffs both from other teams and from the league. 2003 was my favorite, followed closely behind by 2005.

2003 was David's last year, but nobody honestly expected a title run. We all just hoped that some team would finally beat the damn Lakers this year around. As the holiday season came and went and the Spurs sauntered to an underwhelming 19–13 record, it was pretty clear that the Spurs' ceiling was second round fodder (at best) once again. I liked the Mavs (who started off 14–0) back then because Steve and Dirk seemed cool (and they were friends) -- maybe they'd beat the Lakers in the playoffs, if only they could hold a 27 point 4th quarter lead against them (that game was pretty embarrassing particularly since the Lakers were below .500 at that point). Nobody in their right mind could have expected this seemingly undertalented collection of youthful rawness, washed-up veteran experience and one dynamic superstar to suddenly get together, complete a 8–1 RRT (after losing the first game) and somehow win 41 of the last 50 games en route to a 60 win season, the #1 seed, and a hard-fought NBA championship winning each series in no less than six games.

2005 was awesome (particularly retrospectively) because it was the last year before I lost my eyesight (20-20 to 20-95 in a matter of 2 weeks after catching a bad cold in mid-February 2006) and I learned about sex. I was 11, and it was a particularly happy year for me. 2004 was very conflictuous for many reasons, but fortunately my mom and grandma stopped fighting and Bush won the election. 2004 was a tough one to swallow, though the expectations were low due to the roster overhaul the previous summer. The 2004 offseason brought Brent Barry and Beno Udrih, but little else. However, this was the year that Manu transformed from a nice role player into a bona fide superstar. Tony Parker took a small step back, but this wasn't a huge problem because Manu was the clear cut #2 at this juncture. The team had a very good season, though finishing behind the upstart Suns, and had a virtually impeccable home record (38-3). This Spurs team was quite likeable, the Lakers were gone from the picture, and the team I hated the most that year was the Sonics (a bunch of classless asshole players and fans led by sissy boy Ray Allen and the 17,000+ that cheered Timmy's injury). [Aside: it's pretty fitting that that specific franchise today remains the team I hate the most by far.] The Pistons series was epic, and I remember vividly the depression after going down almost 10 in the third quarter of game 7... and the ultimate joy of winning it all about 90 minutes later... pretty amazing.

2014 was nice but like I've said before, winning it in 2013 would have bene much better for quite a handful of reasons. The 2014 team was very likeable, but (similar to 2007) the run just seemed too expected. The Dallas series was an odd caveat there, though. My favorite moment was winning game 6 in OKC and seeing that shithole arena quiet at the end of a Spurs game for a change.

Yeah, but we still wanted our $60 back. Hell, if I wasn't such a big Spurs fan since early childhood, we would have pressed for punitive damages as well.

too bad she was never a picture person and she's 56 (almost 57) now, tbh. And she's put on at least 40 pounds since I was that age, likely due to menopause.

I was in San Antonio for a conference and went to this game. It was awful. I should have ordered a dirty flick at the hotel and saved a few bucks as well.

sheesh, it was 2007 already, you could get porn for free on the internet using their wifi if you're just going to jack off. Probably could have gotten a decent prostitute for a couple hours for that

Kidding bro. I don't really like to watch porn. I pull a Dennis and just record myself in the act. I like to watch myself pounding it out. I'm dedicated.
