Both being top 5 picks, who will be the bigger letdown for their respective franchises?

Porzingis plays defense. He has a place and a ton of upside.

I see Russell Going like Chauncey Billups and being good for another team. Scott is not a very good offensive coach beyond "RUN!" If he cannot play defense then he might be very disappointing early. Scott teams do usually play sound defense. Lakers team culture doesn't inspire.

Both franchises are in a position where letdown isn't a painful drop.

It would have to be the Lakers. Only because they passed on Okafor. So if Russell doesn't pan out it will be a bigger letdown. After the 1st 2 it was more of a crapshoot. Porzingis was as good a shot as any.

I like Porzingis, tbh. Think he's gonna be a beast. The Great White Terror.

At least if the white euro is a bust they don't have to wonder what if when Okafor is tearing up the league, tbh

If two players in the same draft end up as busts, the higher pick will ALWAYS be a bigger disappointment.

Always.

I think Porzingis will be an all-star caliber player within a few years. He is real skinny but he has great mobility and has good lateral movement. He has a great jumpshot along with a super quick release which means he will be difficult to guard once he gets adjusted to the NBA game. Porzingis' ceiling is really high he could potentially end up as the best player in this draft. The only guy with a higher ceiling in this draft is Karl-Towns.
