View Full Version : Spurs: Quiet Consensus That Aldridge Brought The Curse Of The Blazers To San Antonio

Time will tell but there's a quiet belief in some professional circles that the Blazers old curse now resides in San Antonio..:bang

:lol

The "curse" started early with injuries to Sam Bowie and Bill Walton and has continued recently with the injury-plagued careers ofBrandon Roy and Greg Oden.
And most recently the hip surgery to LaMarcus Aldridge.

"They might not want to admit it, but when I was there, my goodness, people were saying, 'Are we really snake-bit? Are we really cursed?' Doubts and talks like that came about. Everybody just tried to brush it to one side and remain positive, but it was hard to escape because everybody was talking about it. It's hard to argue when it keeps happening year after year after year."

You'd like that to be true, wouldn't you faggot?

But let's come back to reality: you're a fan of the worst-managed NBA franchise currently, and you would personally suck on the phallus of a fake media-manufactured superstar named Kobe if you had the chance. :lol Faggot

Let's see, the last time the Blazers traded/lost their top player to another team was back in '95 when Drexler went to the Rockets, if memory serves me. If we are "cursed" like the Rockets were with immediately winning a championship, then Spurs fans will gladly welcome such a curse. :toast

Thats only valid on a back to back which is what happened for the Rockets...in the case of LMA to the Spurs we are looking at another 2nd round exit which would be your back to back like the Rockets in 94-95....

The Curse lives :toast

Wow - Kool continuing to wish injuries and now is too cowardly to do it outright. Karma is not going to react kindly to Kool.

Unfortunately for you..the early bird gets the worm...and guess what I ate it.....trying to piggy back off my suspicion of the Spurs curse and bad Karma is not a reverse trolling event...I came up with the theory and you followed me....so sit back and watch my prophecy unfold....I don't mind you trying to be a disciple of mine but I have to call you forth to be so...and thus far I haven't called...:hat

Go ahead and keep moving the goal posts...

Besides, I stand corrected. Forgot about when the Blazers traded away Rasheed Wallace to the Pistons to watch him hoist the trophy over your boy Kobe and the Lakers back in '04.

So again, it has been proven that when the Blazers best player leaves, they usually win the championship with their next team.

Kool is gettin' desperate for anything to keep Kobe and Tim tied at five each.
A little history to chew on, Kool:

Former Blazers who won a Title WITH THE SPURS AFTER Leaving Portland:
Jerome Kersey
Steve Smith
Steve Kerr
Jaren Jackson
Patty Mills
Jeff Ayres

Other Players who won a title AFTER Leaving Portland:
Bill Walton (BOS)
Clyde Drexler (HOU)
Mychal Thompson (LAL)
Rasheed Wallace (DET)
Brian Shaw (LAL)
Tracy Murray (HOU)
James Jones (MIA)
Juwan Howard (MIA)

Looks like if you are an NBA player in Portland, your best odds of winning a championship are to go to San Antonio. :toast

Steve Smith traded to SA too for Derek Anderson and then they win a title a few years later. Keep bringing some Blazers here. Jerome Kersey was on a title team too right? These guys never won in Portland but got their rings they deserved late in their career in SA.

iirc Wallace was traded to Hawks first then Pistons. I think he didn't stay with the Hawks that long.

like a week

Hawks were like a 14 win team that year (Stephen Jackson was their "star") and an 11 win team the next year. Rasheed was glad

I don't believe the Lakers fans that post here keep things interesting. Good natured trash talk, in moderation, and funny, light hearted banter between rivals is fun. Kool-aid man and his followers are just morons.

That stone handed motherfucker went by the name of Pendergraph back then, might explain your surprise.

Naw I knew he was Pendergraph on Indy a few years ago so it was not the name that threw me off. I was shocked he was in the league longer than a few years to be honest with you as bad as he is :lol

He's probably a beast in practice and tryouts, all those monster dunks, running the floor, clapping after every fumble "come on Jeff, you're better than that" he says to himself for the 5,394th time this season. No Jeff, you're not better than that. I mean, after you've been digging in shit for so long and you keep coming up with shit, you have to begin to think you're in a shit pile, not a gold mine hidden cleverly by shit.
