You have one of the best post players ever and one of the best jump-shooters ever.

I'm going with Timmy (to the surprise of nobody), because I'm always going with the guy who can take and make the closer shots, but there's definitely a debate to be had here. Who do you have?

Dirk's best playoff scoring came in 2011 when he was already on his downhill. He shot 46 percent from three in those 21 games. He shot 49-88 in the 5 game series against OKC; but the prime volume shooter KD outscored him despite two 40 plus point games by Dirk.

Duncan could score 35-40 whenever he wanted in a playoff game; but he often focused on getting teammates involved.

I think Durant is the scariest when on fire; but Duncan was a much more reliable scorer. Dirk's a bit below both of them in those respects, imo.

Prime Dirk was an absolute monster on offense in all facets. Duncan was the superior post player but overall, as a scorer, Dirk was better.

Dirk is scoring. What else do you think of when you think of Dirk? Not defense.

I have no idea..

In his Prime Duncan was a 25 and 10 nightly. He could score whenever he wanted. Often not choosing to.

I think some of you are understating Timmy's scoring ability. He could've easily averaged close to 30 in his prime if he was less unselfish and played on a faster-paced team.

Timmy had the better post game, Dirk the better faceup game. Dirk had a better outside shot, but Timmy finished better at the rim.

But now that I think about it more, Dirk was an automatic FT shooter while Timmy was more of a liability at the line, which gives Dirk the edge overall.

Duncan was more dominant but Dirk was the better pure shooter. He was a power forward that could hit on a nice clip from outside 20+ feet,,,Duncan's off the glass bank shot is sweet but he couldn't shoot outside like Dirk. Duncan is a top 5 player of All Time because he could do it all but gotta give Dirk his props,,,dude is an assassin as far as shooting goes,,,,

Duncan could force a double every time he touched it on the block, getting his teammates open shots at will. Dirk could score from anywhere on the floor, so i's say Dirk a better scorer, Duncan a better offensive player for his team.

Duncan overall was greater during both their primes. The one thing that Dirk had over Duncan was Dirk was a greater scorer.

Offensively Dirk. There used to be times during the playoffs when we used to battle back and forth with them where it seemed like he would go through stretches he wouldn't miss anything. All his shots when he was really hot would barely even move the net. Used to frustrate the heck out of me.
