We'll miss him this year -- as tremendous as our front line is, we could use some firepower off the bench.

Beli is a cool customer on the court. People might bitch about his defense, but beli is a gamer and doesn't fold under pressure.

Marco has worse career reg season and advanced stats than dick jefferson. that will never change. He's a good 7th man like jamal crawford. The end
Belinelli was a fucking assassin in his time here. He had his liabilities to be sure (mostly defense), but we all knew that. He still was a regular season warrior and hit timely shots in the playoffs, which is all we really could've hoped for when he signed in SA.
Gonna miss det dude, tbh.

Marco was great his first few months until he won his 3point contest then turned to shit until the clippers series.

Now me and you agree and I can get behind this one backing Belli, he was a sharp shooter and one of the few that showed up in the playoffs this year along with Patty. I will miss Belli's shooting out there man, hell the Spurs will miss his shooting IMO.

Jack, Belli, Horry and Barry, those role players with those balls only come once in a while man :( I can add Diaw to the list too since he has hit some big shots and is clutch. Few have that IT factor, they have/had it.
I know alot will say he was done or hate on Finley in here as well but he would hit some timely threes for the Spurs, remember quite a few.

I only hated Finley when, after we got him his ring, he copped out and asked to be released to join "a contender" during the dark years. He was an ungrateful bastard.

I don't like what Finley did either, but I wanted him gone well before that anyway. I was right and a lot here were wrong. I wanted him gone a year, year and a half before he actually asked out. I found it funny when he asked out and all the people here that were defending him for still being on the team didn't end up looking too good after it. He ended up screwing the Spurs over anyway. I thought it was ridiculous and that he was lucky to even be on the team. If it was my choice, I would have cut him loose before he asked out anyway. I'm glad that he didn't win another Championship with Boston. Having said that, I still would have preferred Boston winning over LA.
I also pretty much had enough of RJ after his first 1-2 months here and wanted him gone too, but hardly anyone back then agreed. After the first month I was quite angry with him and his lack of mental toughness. I think someone like T-Park was calling me an idiot. lol. Most people said back then that he needed more time. I guess that extra time didn't work out too well.

How are you going to leave Patty Trills off the list after his 2013-14 season? He also showed up against the Clips this past postseason after struggling during the regular season. Gary Neal also gave no fucks about pressure & came up big during the postseason unlike the fool's gold that was Roger Mason.

Sorry I didnt name every player.... Neal was okay but too streaky, some niggts hot and the 1-5 or so the next few nights. He had a few good playoff games though and yes hit a few big shots but not up there like the names I mentioned as far as Spurs history goes. Patty during those finals waz lights out indeed... I might add him but not Gary because he never was on a title team unfortunately.

I have the same opinion on Gary. He's not up there with those guys. He could have been up there, but those killer mistakes like leaving a shoeless Mike Miller wide open - I just won't forget them.
I love that he was fearless shooting the ball though. I will give him props for that, but like you said, he was a little too streaky and I think a little selfish at times jacking up shots that weren't in the flow of the offense.

I could not stand when he would go down the court one on three and shoot a way out three outside of the flow of the game, he would literally shoot you out of the flow of the game at times like you said. When he was hot he was hot and lit you up, but when he was doing stuff like that out of the flow of the game it was detrimental to the team. His D was awful too as you said.

Never understood the criticism of this guy on the board, I thought the guy played tough and won us quite a few games. Not a perfect player but well worth what we were paying him. I wish we could have kept him around. As for Dirk, a class act all the way; a clean player and a worthy foe. The only things I like about the Mavs are Dirk and the coach.
