Waterburger is the most disgusting shit ever made. My first one was in 1983, I was a kid and starving and took one bite only.

I don't get the two hour wait at Franklin's. It's a fucking brisket.

That's the thing about Austin -- there's always something good close by so unless a date just has to get some aching culinary need of hers fulfilled, I'm going next door or down the block.

Is Franklin's that good or is it just a trendy "it" place to go. Who has been there and is it so
good that it's worth the wait?

For fast food...I'd agree. I'd never wait half an hour for a fast food burger. A restaurant burger at a specialty place served with a 512 IPA isn't the same as a Whataburger and a soda. 30 minutes is a pretty standard issue wait at most sit down restaurants during peak hours.

Honestly tho, i don't get the hype for whataburger in other states. I didn't think they get that much rabid and cult like support outside of beetustonio, Htown, and austin.

In N Out on Sepulveda was great in the 80's. That chain ain't what it used to be.

I'm gonna have to agree with Chump on this one. If you're waiting in a long line for a burger, you probably need to reassess your priorities.

Ehhh, I don't do it, but I don't begrudge patient people getting what they want and enjoying a laid back life.

I agree - Hop is a burger but it's more of a restaurant than fast food. It's really solid and what's people's rush :lol? Enjoy life. If you need something fast, there are places for that. If not, chill and take your time while sipping a beer.

It doesn't matter what you're waiting for. If there's a long line for it, there must be a reason.

As far as fast food burger joints go Dans Hamburgers in Buda, Tx is top notch imo. Pretty decently priced and a damn good burger.

Prices are better than you might think. Burger I got was about 8 bucks. Two burgers, two beers and big ass bucket of fries ran about $35.
