any of you clowns using VPN atm?
im trying to access a server and sometimes it wont allow me to access it any foreign country outside it, does a VPN bypass this?

depends where is the VPN... if it's on one of the allowed countries, I suppose so

To my understand, yes, OP. I haven't had any luck using hide.me to allow me to download torrents though. Gives some error and doesn't download.

VPN access policy is set by the server administration.
My understanding:
A private VPN with a "window" to the outside world should let you access other countries, as the local handling of the data is handled by the VPN server, so it looks to most hosts that you are just accessing one point (the VPN server).
Not really much a network guy, but as a traveling auditor I have to be dimly familiar with such things.

You need to know which countries servers they allow. I am using purevpn (https://www.vpnranks.com/purevpn-review/) and they cover all those countries which restricts some websites, hence you will be able to bypass them.
