Thought there might be some fellow Spurs fans that like a bit of Rugby to discuss with, so here's a thread.

Shock of the tournament so far obviously Japan beating the Springboks. Only one game though, South Africa can still get through.

Don't expect much of England tbh, relatively shaky first game against Fiji but still won in the end.

That Japan-South Africa game was awesome, I was shaking my head when they decided to go for the try instead of settling for the penalty and get the draw, I was sure they were gonna fuck up.

Decent debut for Argentina against the all-blacks. I was expecting a beat down.

Only being aired on some obscure NBC channel

I especially hate this country once every 4 years. Literally the only thing I saw on ESPN so far is the news that Japan beat SA and it was just "breaking news" in the bottom bar

Just watched a bit of Black Shirts. The last punt-pass-run was impressive

So I'm kinda unsure about the rules. Lol. What is the purpose of scrums other than running down the clock against a superior opponent?

Don't you wish you had a Messi to at least make past the group stages, tbh?

No thanks, already enough chokers around, room for no more.

Losing in the WC final against the best team in the World and in the final of the Copa America against the host team and by far the best generation of players of that country being a choke. :lol

Even worse, choking when your team REALLY relies on you. We've got enough group stage chokers in the team. In the random event England ever do get to another final, I'd rather not have a midget sailing one over the crossbar in the 90th minute!

Losing in the group stages as the host nation :lol

England completing the holy trinity of chokes in the last year, losing in the group stages of football, cricket and rugby world cups. Impressive shit.

Fuck, Argentina was 1 minute away from getting to the final. Now they're probably gonna get ass raped by Australia.

:cry It's over. It's all over :cry

A win over the Springboks would be nice though.

dunno how argies loss to a rebuilding team...

Australia is the last Rugby Championship winner and has the biggest number of test matches played within the players on its roster of all the World Cup. Hardly a rebuilding team, tbh. :lol
