Just wondering how many players in NCAA history have ever done this:

Jakeem Grant believed to be the first Red Raider ever to rush for a touchdown, catch a touchdown pass, return a kick for a touchdown and pass for a touchdown.

Dak Prescott last year had two games where he passed, caught, and rushed for a touchdown in a single game.

But, he never returned punts/kickoffs. That's the part where Grant will separate himself from the rest of the field.

Dri Archer of Kent State had a return touchdown, rushing touchdown and passing touchdown against Army a couple of years ago. I'm sure some other guys have done all four- maybe Walter Payton or Greg Pruitt, both of whom ran the option pass very well in the pros.

Reggie Bush was similar in Heisman year, throwing, receiving, rushing for TDs, but he had punt returns for TDs that year.

He did have a kickoff return a year before tho.

Do I really need to take this little shit back to the very first college football game?

How about back before Ariz/ASU were in the Pac10? Could talk the SWC/SEC before black players.

How about that cat who scored 71 points in one game? He scored 11 TD's in one game. Kicked five extra points and returned a punt to score.

How about that HS back who had seven games where he scored 4 0r more TD's in a game?

Then there was that college cat who scored 62 TD's in his college career, averaging 41.7 yards a score.

Then there was that kid who scored 47 points in a basketball game, threw a no hitter and ran for 430 yards in a football game.

How about that guy who scored 78 points in a football game?

How about a pro footballer who scored....

rushing
receiving
passing
punt return
KO return
PAT
FG

Way back when when guys played both ways many scored on INT's to go with rushing/receiving/returning kicks.

True or false?

Guy returns a KO to score. Then he kicks the extra point. Then he recovers a fumble on the KO to score. Kicked that extra point. After a few offensive plays he intercepts a pass and scores, kicks that extra point. So inside two minutes (playing time) he scores 21 points. Would score another 21 later on in the game.

This happened on MNF, or did it?

The game was in the snow in Denver, they KO. Guy fumbles the ball, scoop and score for Denver. They KO again, guy fumbles again, scoop and score for Denver, it's 14-0 before a minute has been played.

Team scores over 500 points in 11 games giving up...0.

Then the following season they score over 600 points giving up...12.

Then the next season they score over 500 points giving up...6

The next two seasons they score over 1000 points giving up...22.

They went 56-1, losing that game 2-0.

Then there was that team that didn't allow an opponet past the 50 yard line for three seasons in a row.

Imagine a collerge team where 53 players ended up signing pro contracts.

One does not have to be smart to play critic with you.

You basically imply this is not a personal thread and then immediately make it personal. You ask ME about Charlie Strong in a college history thread and then retreat after I asked you what school you went to because you washed dishes in a Navy mess hall.

Look at the title of the thread. Blake was obviously fishing for you.
So just stop, you have waded into water over your head. And the original question goes unanswered. Make the time period 1970 onwards and then get back on topic if this is really your concern. Stick to what you are capable of achieving.

A dummy like you trying to belittle anyone is comical.

All NFL games are basically a 50/50 proposition, do you get this? With the juice you must come out ahead. Show me your record over your lifetime. You must keep the data somewhere. I will be glad to give it to my friend who looks into such things.

Well shit, you are able to compare him to Heisman Trophy winners? Damn you are soooo good. Stop the nonsense. You get track speed confused with football speed all the time. You think people use chalk on synthetic tracks. You think evolution is a giant hoax.

So the key to winning is to protect the football? It's that simple. So QB kneel on every offensive play and punt? Are you Fckn crazy? The key to winning is an offense that can move the ball in a variety of ways without undertaking unnecessary risks. This is a very difficult thing to do which is why Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady are amazing for the positions they play. You stupid clown you must take risks on offense. Teams that can take the risk out of an offense and still move the ball without telegraphing everything have a luxury. And turnovers are ALWAYS SKEWED ON THE SIDE OF THE WINNING TEAM BECAUSE TEAMS THAT ARE LOSING MUST TAKE RISKS TO CATCH UP! Are you this stupid? I will say it once again. If you look overall stats, teams that turn the ball over more often are already BEHIND AND THEREFORE TAKING BIGGER RISKS. The most turnovers occur by teams that are already LOSING in the FOURTH quarter.

Do you understand the difference between your contention and the stat I have given you? You and your old fuck cliches you hear and regurgitate. Think for Gods sake. Everyone understands that turning the ball over is not good. But it is often revealing to note why and when MOST turnovers occur.

If it was as simple as you state teams would run QB kneels and punt hoping for a turnover.

And I think Gray is showing little acceleration and not much ability right now. There are kids behind him who are better runners right now. But our offensive line is terrible and Gray can block and catch swing passes. So he plays.

So you watch everything and know everything?

I dont think so.

So, the answer to Blake's question? Start at 1970.

The bottom line in football at all levels is don't lose the ball, while you are in third and short due to a stud running game and they are in third and long because they can't run, you got that? Wow!

Little man are you really this far gone? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY/WHEN YA LOSE THE BALL....ok dummy?

Let that sink in stupid.

.

You old dumb fuck.

An example from yesterday. Dallas v. Atlanta

One looks at the turnovers and sees that Dallas had one BIG turnover to Atlanta's zero. Atlanta wins.

Your conclusion would be turnover battle determined the outcome. Which of course would be entirely WRONG. Atlanta had zero turnovers in the first half and were getting mauled. They could not stop a simple Dallas game plan that involved low risk running plays and play action to suit Weeden. And it worked beautifully. Dallas was running roughshod 28-14 half. Atlanta makes defensive adjustments at half, stops Dallas. Their offense tears up the Cowboys with time controlled running and passing. Dallas does not score again. Game over

Your conclusion. The Weeden interception was the difference in the game, Dallas lost the turnover battle.

And you would be COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY WRONG.

Now answer the question Mr. History.

I raise your Ernie Coy with one Chris Gilbert.

So, the answer to Blake's question? Start at 1970.

Good luck with that. The self-proclaimed track expert couldn't even answer a track question from me, a guy that could give two shits about track.

True. In a way.

If the old fart would just stick with what he knows.
Its on the table for him, but a simple "I don't know", would apparently release the full blown Aspergers dwelling within.

No "In a way" needed.

It's not a coincidence that he very first post ITT mentioned Avante by name...

I have this Blake freak on ignore, he's just too stupid and fucked up to deal with. So he does all he can to get my attention, actually stalks me. This thread an example of just how far gone the boy is.

I'm that guy who starts at the very beginnings of all my interests, I have to know it all so I do. Some like this Blake fuck struggle with that, why I have no idea.

I'm watching Willie Galimore run wild vs the Giants in the late 50's. "Jaguar" Jon Arnet at USC. Hell. "Squirmin' " Sherman Lewis at Michigan. To watch these punk kids like Blake not get that, ha~~~~~~~

Tonight if you saw the Stanford vs UCLA game you saw a guy get ejected for nothing more than your basic good block. A text book block.

Once you step foot on a football field how can you become defenseless? You don't know you are going to get hit? Isn't that the game? Way too concerned with safety anymore, this is football, it's like boxing....violent and you are looking to knock somebody down, that's the game.

It's getting silly now.
