One looks at the turnovers and sees that Dallas had one BIG turnover to Atlanta's zero. Atlanta wins.

Your conclusion would be turnover battle determined the outcome. Which of course would be entirely WRONG. Atlanta had zero turnovers in the first half and were getting mauled.
