It takes forever to go through a signle horns options for example..often times, the sets aren't even sets anymore..just single plays.

2k15 ran horribly for me(constant stuttering) so I was a bit worried but it runs smooth as hell so far. I'm using the ali crack off kickass btw :lol

I'm gonna buy it though because I've heard the servers are actually good this year.

Bro, this game plays way better than any 2k I can remember. It's better than 2k11 ad that used to be my holy standard of modern 2k games. The new footplanting mechanic has improved the game so much. I also don't feel sucked into animations all the time either.

It's like skyrim with basketballs 9/10

I don't think the Spurs should be #1 defensively tbh. Even #3 sounds high to me. Wing Stop is awesome, but without Tiago Splitter guarding pick and rolls and with Enrique getting torched like 2001 Derek Anderson I don't think the Spurs should be #1 on defense.

The floor with all the little scratches on the logos and in the paint is really impressive too. 2k15 had this shitty looking fog in the stands too that has been completely done away with. What's also impressive is my framerate is like 5 fps lower than it is on 2k15 with patches from months after release while unpatched 2k16 runs really smooth with some tweaking and with much better image quality. I wasn't expected a night and day better looking game, but 2k16 delivers big here vs 2k15. I haven't tried setting SSAA above 1 (e.g. off) and probably won't touch it since it looks so amazing at 4xMSAA. The only time I ever get a performance drop below 60 fps is in the pregame show when the logos flash across the screen. :lol

Yeah, I don't even notice a difference between 2xMSAA and FXAA in the vast majority of games. The only game I'm confident I could tell the difference if you changed settings while I wasn't looking is GTA V, where some of the NPCs walking the streets look a little jaddedy on FXAA but don't with 2xMSAA.

Graphically it's an enormous improvement over 2k15 for PC and runs just as well. If you're playing on a 60 Hz panel with a 290x you should easily get 60 fps locked with MSAA maxed out and perhaps even downsampling from 1440p. I have only played a couple of quick games and haven't really tried to run an offense yet against the highest difficulty setting, so I can't give any impressions on the AI yet. But the player models look better, the floor is much more detailed especially in close ups and replays when the camera zooms in, the crowd looks better, and the fog from the stands was removed. I was never impressed with 2k15 graphically even on PC, but 2k16 I am extremely impressed by, especially since it runs as well as 2k15 did after they fixed the stuttering issue the game launched with.

This game is awesome playing the actual NBA games, but the Career mode is shitty as fuck. You're this faggot from the projects in Harlem with a stupid nickname Freq. You play 3 two minute quarter high school games where none of your teammates can hit wide open layups you set them up for. You pick from one of seven colleges, you play four college games with six minute halves so you can't build up decent stats to get picked high. Your cunt sister is a hanger on, as is your highschool friend. Your sister, HS friend, twat of a girlfriend, and a shady agent who promises you will go #1 in the draft all pressure you hard to go pro after your freshman season and you have no choice, you do. Worst part is I'm a center who got drafted Portland. :lol

I played point on that and got drafted by the Rockets, and then after every game I went and complained to the GM and told him to trade Lin because he couldn't hit any of the wide open shots I got him. I agree the whole Spike Lee touch was shite. They really wasted a cool opportunity with the high school and college experience and made everything in mycareer linear. Maybe I wanted to stay in college another year and try to win the natl championship(lost by one to Wisconsin) or maybe all 4 years. Nope. Also I don't like how you can't change body types, another aspect that makes mycareer feel less personal. Thankfully after your rookie season I've heard there's no more cut scenes and all that Spike Lee jazz is over. The new stuff you can do with off days looks promising.

Anyway I'm not a big mycareer guy, I usually play myleague. The gameplay is really good on superstar sim settings, but I find the cpu doesnt take enough jumpers and offensive rebounds are low so I bumped those sliders up. Also on ball defense is 2k11 esque in that the cpu just mirrors you. I lowered cpu on ball defense to 45 and I'm not sure if it's too easy now. I dropped 39 on Pippen with tmac :lol

I've always liked myleague and I like it even more with the new classic teams. Currently playing a myleague with the 99-00 Raptors.

For some magical reason, nobody at 2K thought Timmy's fingers clipping right through the basketball during his basketball hug pregame ritual was an issue this year for example.. Don't get me started on that fucking hobo looking mother fucker in the Kawhi jersey..

The presentation quality is better for sure, the lip sync animation is pretty life like IMO.

The models weren't bad in 2k15 IMO. They still haven't figured out how to utilize some transparency to make thinning hair (Pop looks terrible as he has for the last 16 years), but for the most part the players and other models look good.

I'm not sure they would need a brand new engine, but they would have to make PC the lead platform to see a jump in the graphics with this generation of consoles.
