This year seems to have a few particularly bad starting QBs. Name yours (backups who are playing because of injuries don't count). In no particular order:

Nick Foles
Ryan Mallett
Colin Kaepernick
Kirk Cousins
Josh McCown

I wanted to fit Tannehill in there but the 5 I listed are in their own separate category.

Trannyhill has been pretty bad to start this year, but he's been a decent QB in previous years, can't say the same about the others... Kaep was only effective before coaches got his tape

My bad, didn't read OP. Was wondering why the shitty interims weren't listed.

Throw in Tannehill and whoever the Browns trot out (Football or the other McCown) for me.

That's tough..I don't think Tannehill is low-tier, he's just really average IMO..

Excluding rookie QBs:

1. McCown
2. Mallett
3. Cousins
4. Foles
5. Fitzpatrick/Geno or Kaepernick

is this the part where Raven semen shields and calls Foles a really good qb?

Stafford's definitely bottom 10

Stafford's definitely bottom 10

He's definitely the most overrated, not sure why he doesn't get called out more..he isn't any different than Cutler on the field, the difference is the latter is widely disliked by media and fans:lol..

Cutler is just an easy guy to dislike and always has that stupid look on his face. Stafford has always been pretty likable. Pretty similar as far as talent goes though, I agree.

How can this be done after just three weeks?

SLOW DOWN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fucking rookies, sheesh!

Terry Bradshaw was benched he sucked so bad early on. What did he end up doing?

Give these guys some damn time rookies, ok?

As a rookie he threw 28 INT's. try.....Peyton Manning.

So we are comparing a rookie with three games experience vs seasoned vets, that make sense to you?

I can never understand why so many sport fans jump to conclusions so quickly. It's crazy.

It's 2008 the Bills are 4-0, they'd end up 7-9.

It's 2013 the Panthers are 1-3, they'd end up 12-4.

Ya gotta give things some time.

All I see is a bunch of guys totally clueless about how long it takes to be a legit NFL QB. This is why Wilson, Big Ben, Luck were so special, they got it right out of the blocks, but it's rare.

why would I? :lol Foles will be fine, but that team needs an offensive line.

In all fairness the Browns don't really have a starting QB; more like a rotating series of backups. The last actual "starting QB" they had was Tim Couch, tbh.

Raven

anyway, my take.

J Clausen
Manziel/McCown,
McCown2,
Crap,
Tyrod Taylor (although he isn't showing it right now, but I'm going with projections)

Derek Anderson had one magical dragon filled year.

Yeah, but DA wasn't the opening-day starter that year (Charlie Frye was.) And every time DA threw a pick or an incompletion half the fanbase would scream for Brady Quinn. I'm talking about the QB being the undisputed starter, no ifs, ands or buts. Last time that happened was Couch in 2001.

BTW, the Raiders look as if they're building something good. :tu

Same can be said for Houston post-Schaub tbh.

Hard to single out Mallett just yet. His sample size as a starter is basically rookie level. He had a pretty good game yesterday since he finally got some run support.

We'll, after that season in 2007, nobody questioned him as the starter in 08.

the browns played like i'm used to seeing the raiders play, shooting themselves in the foot time and time again. roughing the kicker, muffed punt. i also don't understand their handling of the QB situation. i'm not high on manziel at all, but there is no point in playing McCown... and i thought there was zero chance of McCown starting the 2nd half. Pettine is just sticking to his guns and imo will go down with the ship

Hes so so aggravating to watch. Sometimes he looks really sharp. Then he throws a soft fluttering buttery int. Meanwhile Derek Carr looks like the real deal. The only thing that makes me feel a little better about car is we weren't the only ones to pass him over.
