So far only game that stands out to me as a lock is Rice +9 against Western Kentucky. Seems like an easy home underdog pick.
Tech is possibly ripe for Baylor to beat the shit out of them. -15 over Tech looks really appealing.
Bama +2.5 vs Georgia maybe
Don't bet on Rice. They have looked bad and WKU has been CUSA's best team.

Oregon giving 8 to Colorado

aside from the Baylor game, I think they've looked really good.
Shit the line already moved from +9 to +7.5. I need to bet now before it gets under 7.
$100 on Rice +7.5

These strike me immediately.
Wisconsin seems solid.
Oregon though is still trying to find itself. 35% conversion rate on third downs is awful and their defense looks like wet toilet paper against Utah.
Meanwhile, Colorado is up and coming with a solid well balanced offense. It may stun a lot of people, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see CU outright win this game.

The only thing that makes me leery of the over under is the extent of Mahomes knee injury. You could tell he wasn't right trying to plant and scramble in the second half

That's still a shit ton of points Blake....
I know you guys have been putting a lot of points on the scoreboard, and Baylor has probably allowed even more. That's just a perfect storm a brewin' in Waco. You rarely see a over/under that big. Actually, some places have it at O/U 90.
If Mahomes is limited (I'll take your word for it...I didn't watch much of the game tbqh) like you said....I'd be leaning toward the under.

Oh shit, for some reason I thought you were thinking 88 is an easy over. Yeah, it's a lot of points but I could see this being a track meet. Should be fun to watch.
the game is at Jerrah World tbhfwiw
Even if Mahomes is limited, Baylor could put up 66 on Tech without blinking. I have no clue what to expect as far as total goes.

Mahomes injured his knee in the first quarter of a 55-52 loss to TCU Saturday. Despite the injury, he remained in the game. He completed 25 of 45 passes for 392 yards, threw two touchdown passes and rushed for a score.Kingsbury said Mahomes’ injury curtailed some of his play calls....

It was really obvious after he got hit in the left knee he wasn't the same. He was limping around in the pocket and was skipping passes in the turf.

Oregon has been 37.5 and 33 point favorites over Colorado in the Mark Helfrich era. Now we are seeing an over reaction to last weeks Utah loss, Colorado is not Utah.
This is a gift at less than -10. The Ducks 5-0 ATS vs Buffalos the last 5.
TT lost a heart breaker last week, can they get up again vs Baylor? While Baylor had some practice on Rice. Sure it was close in 2014 but the Red Raiders weren't coming off a TCU game.
Don't like the 'spot'.

At the NCAA level it's all aout recruiting, ok ya with me? Oregon brings in kids that the Clorados can't grab, and this is done every season. I bet there isn't more than a couple Buffalo's that could start for the Ducks. AND...these are juniors.seniors who matured into a far better player than what they were.
You do not ignore 5-0 trends little guy, don;'t be a rookie.
Oregon vs Colorado since 2011
2011...Oregon 45-2
2012...70-14

While quite a few coaches mentioned third-down efficiency as a key, and a few talked about explosiveness (#swoon), there was one dominant, recurring theme...
Maryland (http://maryland.rivals.com/)'s Randy Edsall (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=1730)
"I think turnover margin is something you can tell what type of a team someone is."
Arizona State (http://arizonastate.rivals.com/)'s Dennis Erickson (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=1735) "The biggest thing with winning and losing is turnover margin. We lost that last year."
Southern Miss (http://southernmiss.rivals.com/)' Larry Fedora (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=615)
"For me, it's turnover margin and explosive plays."
Northwestern (http://northwestern.rivals.com/)'s Pat Fitzgerald (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=173)
"The tell-tale one for me is turnover ratio."
Cincinnati (http://cincinnati.rivals.com/)'s Butch Jones (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=590)
"I would say turnover margin."
USC (http://usc.rivals.com/)'s Lane Kiffin (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=393)
"When I got the Raiders job, I remember talking to the team about turnover margin."
Ole Miss (http://olemiss.rivals.com/)' Houston Nutt (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=247)
"The first thing we always look at is turnover margin."
Washington (http://washington.rivals.com/)'s Steve Sarkisian (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=396)
"You look at the teams every year that have double-digit turnover margin, they all are bowl teams and winners, conference \

Actually the final score determines the outcome.
Part of your problem is your sites don't understand stats or cause and effect.
On on the whole most turnovers occur in the 4th quarter by the team that is ALREADY LOSING.
Do you have any clue how this changes the way in which turnovers should be viewed and their effect?
Hint, what does ALREADY LOSING mean to you?

You make we want to vomit with your rehashing of all these Vegas numbs giving out their picks based on ridiculous ATS ancient history. WHytfck do they give their picks out if they are so good? So people like you who don't know shit and can't do their own homework will gamble. So you keep those ATS sites handy. I'm watching the games. And yes I will read competing teams talk boards once in a while to get a smell if a coach has lost a team. It's a little early for that to be fruitful.

***Updated with new information on 12/17/2013 to reflect actual amount wagered on Bears/Packers, courtesy of Spurraiders21***
***Updated with new information again on 12/22/2013 to reflect Avante's week 16 bet***
Since he refuses to do so, lets track all the money plays he's done on Spurstalk this year. Lets ignore all the other claims/story changes/goal post moves no one can prove/disprove, lets just stick to all of the games Avante has picked on this site saying he bet on them. Here's how it's gone:
Weeks 1-7:
He was 22-25 (:lmao) through 7 weeks picking games without mentioning how much money he bet, and after claiming he was 14-7 overall in the "$$$$" games he realized he needed to start actually showing how much he was betting to prove he's an NFL historian.
Week 8:
At that point he's 2-1 and up $90 overall (claiming he's 16-8). Then he decides to bet on the Seattle MNF and loses (we know he bet on this one because he voluntarily drops his record to 16-9 after this game):
Results for week 8: 2-2 and down $20 ($440 wager, $420 payout)
Results through week 8: 2-2, down $20 overall
Week 9 is when he starts trying to make it confusing to figure out what he bet. Here are the games he claims he played (though he posted an alternative set of games where he did even worse). He didn't specify a dollar amount so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he only bet $110 to win $100 on all 5 games:
Here's the post where he confirms he bet on these and adds a 5th game he bet on:
Then he ups his wager for the MNF GB -11 game:
Results for week 9: 1-4 and down $1,330 ($1540 wager, $210 payout)
Results through week 9: 3-6, down $1,350 overall
Week 10 is when Avante's behavior becomes truly eratic as he starts upping the ante:
Results for week 10: 2-2 and down $100 ($2200 wager, $2100 payout)
Results through week 10: 5-8, down $1,450 overall
Week 11 he starts randomly posting his picks (or pick in this case) in the club (don't ask me why):
Results for week 11: 0-1 and down $2200 ($2200 wager, $0 payout)
Results through week 11: 5-9, down $3,650 overall
Week 12 he did not pick any games.
Results for week 12: 0-0 and $0
Results through week 12: 5-9, down $3,650 overall
Week 13 he did not pick any games.
Results for week 13: 0-0 and $0
Results through week 13: 5-9, down $3,650 overall
Week 14 he starts posting his picks in the NFL forum again:
Then he adds this at the last minute because of how shitty these games turned out:
Results for week 14: 2-3 and up $410 ($2320 wager, $2730 payout)
Results through week 14: 7-12, down $3,240 overall
Week 15 he did not pick any games.
Results for week 15: 0-0 and $0
Results through week 15: 7-12, down $3,240 overall
Week 16 he lays it all on the line with his lock of the year:
Results for week 16: 0-1 and down $5,500 ($5,500 wager, $0 payout)
Results through week 16: 7-13, down $8,740 overall
Current Avante betting tracker: 7-13, down $8,740 overall

See what Blake is doing there? See how important it is to him? Hell, the guy went back and found that to post here, what's that tell you? Well my son saw how weird this guy was about it, so he started messing with the guy because of what you just saw. The thing was to troll this dummy, as you can see he was owned by a kid.
Then in 2014 he'd moved out and I decided to give out my actual plays something I didn't do. Why do all the work and give out free $$$$? My plays have won 3320 since 2014, won 2100 in 2014 and am at plus 1220 right now.
Check out my Avante thread at the NFL forum, if you do you will watch me win over 3000 this season. I post my plays on Saturdays.

I don't usually mess with over/under so I had no idea just how crazy that number is:
The over/under for the*Texas Tech-Baylor*game grew to as high as 90.5 points on Wednesday in Las Vegas, the highest college football total since at least 1990, according to ESPN Stats & Information."It's the highest total ever, to my knowledge, and I've been booking totals forever," said Art Manteris, a 40-year veteran Las Vegas bookmaker .......

Or they have offenses that spread you out and expose every defender on the field. So if you are not deep on D, your screwed. I watched all these "to be" pros on Alabama's defense get the picture against Freeze. Why did Bama hire Kiffin? I believe the SEC does have better defenses. But playing every member of the Big 12 is tougher than many SEC schedules. Missouri had a joke of a schedule last year and got to the mighty SEC championship. Alabama had to "scrape" by this vaunted contest to get to the final 4.
Works both ways. Football has changed. Woody Hayes football is gone. Or you get Leonard F or Earl Campbell behind a good offensive line.

Who have they played so far? We'll re-visit this conversation at the end of the year. They've still got to play Ole Miss, Miss St., Alabama, and LSU.
And there is a huge difference between "Aggy ppg" and having an over/under of 90.5 points. One happens all the time...one happens once in a blue moon. (A 40 year veteran Vegas bookmaker has never seen it)

But when Mississippi goes Air Freeze it ceases to become the rough tough stuff and that's no good?
and more players get hurt because Saban can't play with gigantic safeties anymore?
The fact that your secondary covering and tackling becomes a big factor along with having a Dline that has to be in top shape is bad. You may have to substitute for your 250 lb linebacker, this just isn't fair? 370lb Cody is not a top recruit anymore and you might have to go after smaller quicker defensive lineman.
I hate Nick Saban . Not only is he a great recruiter, great coach, fantastic liar, he is also a big baby.

Good luck tonight. How do you envision our game going? I think it's going to be a close one. Possibly a FG game. We're without a couple top players with a Speedy Noil and Otaro Alaka being out tonight. Our D can be pretty vulnerable against the run.
Looks like Prescott isn't running near as much this season though and I think that's what could really hurt us. I think Wilson will have a big game against us also.

Yeah same to you...good luck. :bobo
As far as the game goes...Manny Diaz is going to have his hands full. On defense, I predict a lot of wide open Aggy receivers in the middle of the field tonight. It's been a problem every week for us. The "no Speedy Noil" is definitely going to help MS State...but the Aggy receiver unit as a whole is pretty damn good anyways. I know it's a simple thing to say, but we've got to allow FGs instead of red zone touchdowns to have a shot at winning.
On offense, we're just not nearly as explosive as last year. We really miss our RB Robinson. (:cry Lil Bowling Ball :cry) But, even with my doom and gloom predictions....we're still capable of putting up points. And I hope you're right...De'Runnya Wilson needs to break out tonight.
I predicted Aggy to win this game at the beginning of the year....and I guess I"m sticking to my original prediction. I would guess by a touchdown tbh....

Piss St is going to crush Faggy this week, expose them for the fraud team they are. Easy money.

Our redzone offense has been very meh this year. Been having lots of trouble getting the ball in the end zone when getting down there. Most our scores come from 30+ yard big playsOur FG kicker is also very suspect. Could definitely be the difference in the game.
:Lol over 105 pts in live play

I think I'll take Oregon after all at -6.5 @ Colorado. I wasn't gonna touch it but they're begging us to take Oregon so I will. $50
Fucking Nebraska. Dumb coach, dumb refs, dumb state
Mahomes = top 4
:lol
aside from the Baylor game, I think they've looked really good.
Shit the line already moved from +9 to +7.5. I need to bet now before it gets under 7.

Yeah, I blew chunks in that one. I know better than to bet on games where I barely know one of the teams and I did it any way.
If I was a still a betting man, I would bet on UTEP-UTSA. Line was UTSA -3 at the start of the week but not sure what it is now. Either way it shouldn't be a close game...UTEP has a shit load of injuries and barely squeaked by Incarnate Word last week.
Still 5-10 mins before kickoff.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I read your entire post twice....and still don't understand it at all.
What's your point? All I can decipher is that you really hate Nick Saban. Are you saying the SEC isn't the "cruelest, toughest" football in the country because "Mississippi went Air Freeze"? I just don't get what you are trying to say tbh...
Saban and Bulimic directly contradict themselves in the whining about injuries.
The SEC is changing in style of play just like much of the nation. So they can stop it with the hatred of the spread creating more injuries while they are the most brutal conference in the land because of ground and pound.

Pgardns Oregon damn it Blake.
And I actually take that Wisconsin game played again. QB fell over backward at the 1 and fumbled. Comedy of errors. But this is why the game is so tough.

Don't put too much into "last weeeks game" ya wanna look at recent history when dealing with ATS, ok?

It was not ATS that won the game. It was halftime adjustments. That game was tied at halftime and the "new" coaches for both teams( not apart of the 5-0 ATS decided it for you.)
I knew Colorado was dead when the D coordinator and head coach got into it on the sideline. The head coach actually moved him back like a player away from the field. The team watches that crap. Colorado meltdown, I suggest you watch the games.

I knew Colorado was dead when Oregon got off the plane as I said.
Here it's all about the cailber of athletes that play at Oregon vs a Colorado. The first thing that jumps out at ya is team speed. Oregon was sooooooooooo much faster all over the field.
It wouldn't have mattered what the Buffalos did (and I saw every snap) they were simply out manned. It was only close in the first half because it took the Ducks that long to get serious.
Dude, do you simply not understand ATS wagering?
Big name programs are public teams (a Coloradoi is not) when they struggle we always see a funky over reaction line the following week especially on the road, ok guy? File that away.

Colorado moved the ball with complete ease the first half. Oregon is absolute shit on defense as Blake noted. I perfectly understand the historical ATS you used on this game. There are other much more telling stats like home dogs against the spread etc that make much more sense and mean so much more than individual head to head when the teams competing have completely new teams. It's absolutely stupid IMO to use ATS for head to head when the teams and even venues are not even comparable. The large sample size ATS example that I stated are much more statically significant.
And I completely agree with the last statement (retread my post on the game after you went along with my assessment) and used the same in my thinking. But ATS, it's laughable. The 5-0 made you comfy, fine. It means shit to me.
Add to that its just ONE game.
It does not make either of us sages.
