Yeah, it is hilarious for the Cardinals, who have between 12-16 World Series titles and two within the last decade, to be doing it, especially given how many division titles they also have in that time. It's a holdover from a previous era. Unlike the NBA, it actually used to mean something to make the playoffs in MLB, where for most of history only 2-4 teams per season made the playoffs and many players never advanced to the playoffs in their entire careers.

I really don't like their pitching rotation tbh. Price has been a choker in the playoffs the last several seasons and Dickey hasn't been in the postseason yet. The rest of their pitching staff isn't really worth noting. If their bats go cold in a series they're fucked.
