Steve Kerr is taking a leave of absence to rehab his twice operated on back.
he has had trouble with his back for sometime now and it just got too much now
and he has to step down till it gets better. In his absence coach Luke Walton will
head the team. G.S. does not think this will be long term but with a back this bad
you never know. The loss of coach Alvin Gentry to coach New Orleans hurts as
he was counted on last year.

They were the fifth healthiest team in the league last year (only 15 games missed all year by their 5 best players :wow)--quite unprecedentedly high for a team which has Andrew Bogut in it ..Having the coach already out with a back surgery could be an omen for the upcoming season as to them not having similar luck with health, tbh..The combination of health, Gentry input no longer there and Championship hangover will bring the Warriors back to the field...i honestly could see 8-10 wins drop off from last season..

nah..don't think they are our biggest worry match-up wise..just stating a fact that they caught immense breaks last year with injuries to their chief opponents while they stayed extraordinarily healthy themselves, which might not be the case this season..I mean you think Cavs don't ring last year with healthy Love/Irving?

Warriors win in 5 if Love is healthy, but with just Kyrie it would've went 7 with game 7 being in GS.

As far as their health, what team hasn't had good luck with health when they went on big championship runs? Jordan's bulls were pretty healthy. Shaq's Lakers too. Jason Kidd's Nets, 04 and 05 pistons, etc it's not unheard of for a team to escape the injury bug for a couple years. Its not like they haven't already been hit with it the past couple years (Curry's ankle, Bogut, David Lee, etc). They were due to have a couple years of good health and they've capitalized so far..

Luke Walton is a very nice down to earth guy. Wish him all the best.

I'm a fan of Bill; not Luke.
