CoJo playing well for them. I like him in Toronto. Tenacious as ever on defense, I think he helps them a lot. Spoke too soon about Biyombo, foulprone. Anyways, its an off-topic thread. But for Cojo lovers out there, guy is playing well so far.

Paul Pierce saves that bench, already saved a possession in this game with one of those side step 3s he does. They will continue to live and die by Jamal's hot shooting or lack thereof, but Pierce helps them.

Jospeh isn't a good fit with Derozan and Jonas on the floor. His lack of shooting really kills the flow the offense and the raptors have barely any to begin with.

Scola and Carroll are good additions and Patterson starting should help the starters with Spacing, but it's still a pretty darn average team.

Pierce is a good addition for the Clippers, but Stephenson looked like a joke out there...They've slighlty improved, but even with all these aquisations..they're still a 7.5 man team...

I watched their game against The Nuggets yesterday on NBA TV, that bench got destroyed by the likes of Lauvergne, Jokic, Barton, while Mundiay was being a bit underwhelming. I am kinda surprised with The Clips roster, they are quite small outside Jordan, and Griffin is not much of a rim protector.

They were horrendous this game outside of Pierce. Terrence Ross owned Jamal, who had 6 TO :wow It is a preseason game but I am starting to think Clippers additions were overhyped again. Preseason games are precisely to see the bench and they didn't look good at all.

I think the Clips upgraded their bench a notch and that same team beat the Spurs this past season. I'm not saying they're gonna beat the Spurs again in a PO series as we have now a better team but they won't be that easy either. Lets wait and see first how they gelled and played together coming March-April before making more assumptions after just two games.

Their starting line up looks good, especially Griffin, i saw his ball handling skill has gotten even better, and the court vision is pretty good too. As long their best player is healthy & improving, it's all that really matter for them, the rest are influx & relative compared to the rest of the league at this juncture of the season.

Let's wait and see for that matter about our own bench. I predict a bunch of meltdowns over our lack of gelling as well.

Truth be told, Clippers bench did not look good, and it is possible we only made last years' Clippers look formidable in comparison because we had our own issues, with Tony horrible, Manu in a passive, unconfident state, and a lack of a Tiago Splitter that could give you quality minutes when you needed him. I am at this point very doubtful of the Clippers bench.

Of course we will have our own issues with gelling and our own questions about our bench.

As someone who loves sports, women who know and talk about the NBA, NFL...don't bother me, I don't see any difference between you and other guys here, in fact, I enjoy reading you.
Of course...sometimes you sound too much intuitive "he said that, but he meant..." "his body language says otherwise..." and that reminds me of my girl "but what you mean with..." "you've been a bit quiet lately..I know you say no but...are you mad at me?" female sixth sense clearly fails girls there...:lol but it's fine, it's part of the game.

Thanks for sharing that. Very interesting about transition scoring specially bc it explains Pop fouling to stop transition buckets in the playoff series. I thought Pop overdid the fouling, it killed momentum and allowed Clippers starters (who were being overplayed) to rest, but he was obviously concerned about transition baskets. The strategy backfired on him I thought, but he clearly had his reasons. I can't recall who specifically said it, but one of the team members mentioned they started camp watching clips from Game 4 and 5 of the series and their poor transition defense.

I think over the course of 7 games, the running up and down would have got to them, as the Clippers notoriously lost at least a couple of close games due to their own untimely turnovers or mistakes late, and they ran out of gas before getting to the finals (to put it mildly). This is nowhere near the same level, but the GSW also got the Cavs in the finals with a running approach. The Cavs were depleted and were not able to keep up defensively. Dellavedova for example had some good games early, but then got that exhaustion and from there on, was not impactful. Lebron obviously ran out of gas and could not defend either with his offensive burden. The deeper your bench, the more you can throw fresh bodies out there. Ultimately the winner for GSW was their fresher legs, their good health and the easier path they had to the finals. I bet Doc Rivers was among those who complained about drawing the Spurs in the first round. By the time they faced the Rockets, they were exhausted.

Pop was actually fouling b/c Chris Paul was tearing up the defense w/ those double screen high PnRs. ReDick got a couple of transition 3s in the 4th quarter of Gm 7 thanks to Porker but other the blowout in Gm 1 I don't remember the Clips feasting in transition. Pop screwed up in Gm 6 by fouling the Clips in the 2nd quarter when they were struggling to stop the Spurs & also struggling to score trying to prevent a comeback run by slowing down the game to a stand still. All it did was freeze out the Spurs offense & allow the Clips to regroup.

What a game by Marco!!! Reminded you exactly why you sometimes needed him. In this game they were loosing badly and Collison and Marco brought them back. You also saw him get stuck on every possible pick and being attacked over and over again. Still he will be missed.

The kings ruined a potentially deadly offensive starting lineup of Collison-Maclemore-Belli-Gay-Cousins by signing Rondo..Awful organization.
