The writer of the article obviously reads Spurstalk because he went right into the middle of the Leonard-Parker fray, even saying Leonard should be the guy bringing the ball up the court and initiating the offense. Not sure I see that being an effective strategy. Not sure why Leonard has to have the offensive and defensive burden on his back. Let him focus on the D...the Spurs seem to be a better team that way.

The only thing missing was the writer saying "Porker" or "Enrique" instead of "Parker" and it was like a normal picnic day in Spurstalk.

Y'all have destroyed the beauty of daboms thread. It was perfect as is. It has it all, sketchy blog source (a frequent dabom case, he must have a daily Parker search routine), self congratulating references, personal attacks, emoticons galore, passive aggressive spacing, and self bumped comments. This is a meltdown by dabom. I was hoping it weighs just fall of the front page in it's perfect state.

Instead we're discussing Tony Parker again. Ok, here we go, I think Parker will be ok with spacing and new offensive schemes..He's no longer the playmaker of last resort, that's lma. So his job should be much easier.

Anger started to take hold at the beginning of the 2014-15 season. Parker’s numbers weren’t bad initially, but he was dominating the ball a bit too much for my liking and often failed to look for Leonard, the future face of the franchise, on offense to help the youngster get back in rhythm after an eye injury.

Essentially, what I’m campaigning for here is a reversal of the roles Leonard and Parker had during Parker’s prime"

Holy shit this is stupid.

But this isn't: not only is the Frenchman’s career resume pretty darn impressive, his great prime makes him even more of a no-brainer(referring to Parker as the number five all time spur great over Manu).

You dickride Porker so much that I'm beginning to think that you're fat, too - or at least a leading member of the "fat acceptance" movement.

To be fair nugg love is Denver nuggets blog. Pretty dumb but I can't hate guy who is trying to professional blog his way up the chain of sorts writing, and a guy who thinks Parker is the number five all time spur ahead of Manu.

The only time the spurs looked decent in the Regular season last year was when he was the offense.

Go be a mainstream idiot somewhere else.

With LMA on the team Kawhi doesn't need to carry the load on offense, but "focus on D" and not allow him to continue improving offensively is a big mistake. He isn't just a great defender, he already ranks among the best all-around players in the league.

Kawhi said he wants to be more aggressive this season, play at high level on both ends, I hope Pop gives him the chance to keep improving.
Since the Spurs won't sign a top-free agent every season, and with Parker's decline, they can't afford to become reliant on LMA-one-player-offense, they need Kawhi as the other primary scorer.

:lmao Dan McCarney fielded a question in a livechat just now about Tony finishing his career with another team. This was his response:

@Sam: I highly, highly doubt it. I think Tony's going to be willing to take less to stick around. Twenty years with one team, which is his goal, would be pretty phenomenal. Off the top of my head I don't think anybody has that many with one team. Maybe Stockton?

Only 6 more years

Maybe God willing, coach Becky makes him a scout. Good way to stay in France, but get paid by Holt.
