Article from Bleacher Report.

This thing Tim Duncan is doing, this stealth assault on aging norms and career expectations—it's going to end someday. Decline or injury will lay the San Antonio Spurs' unfathomably steady mainstay low.

Maybe it'll happen this season, his 19th NBA season.

But if you've been predicting that this year will be the year for the past decade or so, if you've been banking on the fact that everybody eventually falls off, you've been wrong every time. And even if you're right this time, would you really want to be?

It's absolutely incredible how consistent he's been over his career.

one of the greatest, and incredible how he's finishing out his career; not only with on court production, but also off court (taking pay cuts, promoting kiwi/lma). love watching him play. will miss him when he's gone.

I always wanted to see these kind of stats, I feel his "decline" has always been overrated just because his MPG has gone down since his 2002-2006 prime.

One reason he hasn't declined is that Pop has managed his PT so well. If he doesn't sit him so much during games (and for how many games total?) there's no way he could keep that statistical production going.

Tim gets a lot of credit for all the work he has done to stay fit and to become more trim as he's aged, too.
