What are some other character traits you look for?
GP: Being able to enjoy someone else’s success is a huge thing.

Nice read. I think a big part of why the Big 3 + Pop have been so successful is that all see a bigger picture outside of basketball.
It's what separates them from guys like MJ, Kirby, Larry Brown, etc....who will be miserable once they walk away from the game, if they ever will...
Pop has his wine/politics, Timmy has his kids/cars, Manu with his family/writing, TP with the banging of teammate's wives + Taco Bell $5 Big Boxes.....
It's great to see that they'll be able to enjoy life when their careers are over tbh.

The author is Chad Hennings. For those too young to remember, Hennings played professional football for the Dallas Cowboys back in the Troy Aikman Super Bowl years. He was actually quite good and earned 3 rings. I'll never forget that the dude flew an A-10 Tank Buster jet. How the hell did he ever fit in that thing?

That was great. Inspiring, too.

I have an aversion to buying books "written" by jocks.
Cant stand radio sports shows with jocks continuously referring to their sport's life and applying it to the sports topic of the day. (Antonio Daniels and Dat Nguyen here in SA...awful IMO)
A biography on Popovich written by a real author, I would buy that.

Thanks for the read! I couldn't help but laugh at Pop's quote when he was talking about the obstacle course and said ,"We had Tony Parker falling in the water. Tim Duncan’s going over every obstacle..."

I knew that name sounded familiar. I wasn't into NFL back then. I was only just learning about the game. Chad Hennings seems like a good guy.

tbh no need to read tons of books about leadership just read Pop's stuff and watch him... with that you have all you need to know about leadership management

A really good read. Thank you!
A few guys on this board could learn a few things from Pop about how to speak correctly and how to express their feelings without using four letter words.

Me, too. Or an autobiography but we know Pop isn't the kind of guy who writes one.

I would love for Pop & RC to write a book on organizational development the ones that should are the ones that never do...
