So I missed most of the game. :( It wasn't on League Pass, and the streams are found didn't run well, lagged, or the virus pop up ads were unremovable. I was only able to catch a few sequences before the lag problems finally made me give it up.

What did you think of the lineups and chemistry between guys?

- The starters minus parker are really starting to gel well. LMA still has a few things he needs to learn when he's playing in the post but it was much better this game.

- The most interesting lineup today was Kawhi-Anderson-Ginobili-Mills-West...That five man team started a spurs run and ultimately after that run the team never looked back. The movement was crisp and god the spacing was incredible. It also wasn't horrible from a defensive standpoint but it's preseason really and they only played for a few minutes together.

- Ray looks much better playing with other ball handlers.

I liked Boris and West on offense, they played just a few minutes together but it seems like they have good chemistry.

The bench looks really good. Anderson looks so much better if he's playing alongside playmakers..

Do you know what happens to Kawhi in the fast break? He can take advantage of those opportunities but now he's passing the ball and forcing his teammates to shoot when they don't expect to get the ball...zero Kawhi fast breaks dunks in the preseason.

Kawhi-Anderson-Ginobili-Mills-West - pretty small ball tbh

- Ray looks much better playing with other ball handlers.

-Ray is a scoring guard like Patty so he's better off being a finisher rather than running sets. He will be playing w/ Kyle/Diaw/Manu/West when Tony is out so he should be fine.

-Kawhi looked very comfortable creating his own shots off the dribble & was making his outside shots.

-Manu might have gotten Lasik surgery during the off-season since he made his long distance shots & FTs

-D-West has old man trick like Horry on defense & was able to bang w/ Drummond

-Boban looked much more conformable on offense & was formidable protecting the rim. "With love from Serbia!":lmao

-Kyle made quick decisions instead of over dribbling & seem to have chemistry w/ the bench mob.

-Bobo made his outside shots & didn't hesitate to shoot.

-Butler didn't play much but was the first backup wing player off the bench. He had a nice drive for a layup on an isolation play.

-Simmons was loose w/ the ball & looked hesitant but he did move the ball as usual & was able to botched up a 2-on-1 fast-break by the Pistons ala Danny. He got called for a couple of chippy fouls most likely b/c he's a rookie.

-Patty/LMA missed shots they usually make otherwise they looked okay.

-Tim was Tim & it was nice to see him make a mid-range shot.

-Pop did a great coaching job by not playing Bonner/Jimmer/DeShaun. (Williams checked in only when Kyle was subbed out for the day)

West/Kawhi are bigger than Draymond Green.

Yeah fuck aye

Still but, Draymond isn't that big tbh

I mean, yeah, they'll match it with other small ball rotations, interesting to see them playing D against some bigs but

:toastThanks. It sounds like it was an interesting game with Kawhi in MvP mode, and Boban being more aggressive.

If Drummond had any post moves then it might have been a bad matchup for D-West but he's a PnR guy who pounds the offensive glass. D-West just boxed him out & his teammates were gang rebounding.

Well said.

Pretty much all was positive. As K-Storm mentioned Boban looked much better, though his hands are still a little suspect. Probably just an adjustment to the speed of the NBA game. Simmons still has weak handles by NBA standards, but he is passing nicely. Everything else in out first 10 players looked good. Not concerned about LMA's misses. His gravity really helps the offense hum. He and Kawhi will allow Tim, Tony and Manu to pick their spots and should be just devastating to opponents.

All and all very promising game.

he had 5Ast and no points ... I think he needs to play alongside guys who know where to be on the floor and can make a bucket ... that's what happened against Detroit.

A lot of his assists were out of ball movement. it wasn't like he was initiating a play that led to an assist. :lol

There is a major difference between the two. :lol
