Dude is averaging over 2 TOs a game and under 1 apg. All that in about 12 minutes of action a night. Sweet signing.

He'll be fine. No need for thread title drama.

Guys thought he could fetch as much as CoJo on the open market, including some chords in this thread. It is to laugh. He'll be alright but they don't exist in the same universe.

I love how Ayres has become the benchmark for a terrible player hahah

Poor fella.

I kinda felt sorry for him after that PHX game last season, then I remembered he gets paid millions and gets to hang with the Spurs and shit, so fuck him

Cheers

Ayres > McCallum > Porker

Ayres > McCallum > Porker

Even at Tony's worst which is 14 ppg last year that is impossible to slate Ayres ahead of anyone in the NBA CN. One is a former all star and one is a career 2 ppg and 2 rbpg game, as bad as Tony was last year this is even false.

Ayres is the statue for shit players.

Who knew Ayres would get a statue before Duncan.

Ayers >> McCallum.

Ain't drama; it's the truth.

CJ was in the league four years, and with the Spurs all four years. Ray has been in the league two years, and has been with the Spurs for four GAMES? Preseason.

I am gonna give him just a LITTLE more time in the oven.

Not really. I just thought most of the criticism was overblown.

What you see is what you get. If you like what you've seen, then you're good. If you don't, then you won't like it going forward.

Despite TOs I want him to be more aggressive ... when playing against us last season he attacked relentlessly ...

He's been a disappointment with his lack of court vision and passing. He just looks like a SG, however he has a very fast release.

Looks like he's playing very nervously in pre-season. The pressure to perform could also get to him given that this is also his last year in his contract.

I agree that I'll got with Simmons over McCallum. Simmons defends much better, and probably could be as efficient taking open shots.

Atleast he will go off if they put that 5'2 stockton guy on him with pin shoes

I prefer McCallum right now bc Simms is hesitant to shoot, and a threat to turn the ball over just trying to get into the paint. I like Ray' s aggressiveness and quick trigger. He's not a passer but neither was Cojo. Cojo had a long time to even get a simple play going and was still not a passer. Simms can pass, but needs to develop other areas in his game. In the end though it's not either, or as the play different positions.

Way too early to judge McCallum in Spurs offense. This much is certain, the Spurs need a 3rd PG and they will give him a shot.

Let me tell you about a PG who as a 1:4 A/TO ratio... No matter where they play, or when they play, they suck.
