Well, I'm in the legal field, and a new attorney joining a firm, even an experienced one, needs a few months to figure out how things are done. It's actually pretty common in the business world. I don't know about Pizza Hut. I guess they expect you to jump right in. That said, it's not like he's not playing. It's that it will take him some time to fully acclimate and dominate.

Compared to most Spurs player (with the exception of Diaw), he looks fat.

Boban Marjanovic.... looks pretty ripped for a big guy.
Leonard looks like he put on weight, but it looks like its all muscle.
Tim and Manu look pretty lean.
Anderson looks like he put on muscle.
McCallum doesn't look lean, but its obvious that he's got a lot of muscle.
Simmons and Mills look really lean.

Now... Aldridge... he doesn't seem to have any muscle tone and seems to look flabby. That's my impression.

Very disappointing. The old guys Manu and Tim are in top shape and these two took major paycuts. Meanwhile this prima-dona has the highest salary and can't even make sure that he's in shape before preseason starts. He's a bum in my opinion until he gets into shape.

He has quick feet for a big man & can move laterally but that's how he has always looked running down the floor (Tim used to beat him down the floor).
