2011 Verlander (was great in 12)
2012 Miggy Cabrera
2013 " " "
2014 Trout
2015 Donaldson

In fact when was the last time an AL MVP was clutch in the playoffs?

Could be attributed to small sample size. Also, teams may pitch these guys more carefully. Also some of these guys may have gotten off their roids before the playoffs started.

Josh Hamilton iirc
Not in 2010 his reg season MVP year.
Had a great series vs the Yankees. .350 4HRs 8 walks with an outstanding off the charts 1.536 OPS.
But that was the middle series.

Opener vs Tampa he was 2-20.
World Series vs Giants 2-21

Thought he was MVP in 2011, not 2010. Nevermind.

Chump and Mrs. Mallox will give you alternating b.j.s if MVP is not Donaldson.
