Yep. Any friends or family I have had visit from out of town loved the Riverwalk and thought it was very nice and clean. The tourist can get annoying, but as you said they bring money. So its a fine tradeoff I guess.

I've lived in Texas most of my life, and I love all the cities in it for different reasons. San Antonio is my favorite. I love the riverwalk. It's been one of my favorite places since I was a kid. Yeah, the mall's out of date. Who the hell knew that malls would go out of style? Yeah, you can smell the water. It's got ducks and fish and algae. It's called an ecosystem. Sorry that Mark Cuban's never seen water that didn't have a pool boy pouring chlorine into it, but it's an actual river.
