So far they are 0-4 while playing against the shittiest of teams.

The Sixers 73 team finished with 9-73

Will they break the sixers record?

Too early to say..should have made the thread "better chance: Lakers breaking the record of 9 wins or Warriors winning 72" :lol

If they lose vs. Brooklyn, then ya, the watch officially begins:lol..

Lakers have had the easiest schedule in the NBA, so far, IIRC..

I would say if Kobe goes down with an "injury", the Lakers could win a few more games, but unlike last year he doesn't even have the worst +/- on the team. I didn't look up everyone's +/- but D'Bust and Julian Randle are both sitting at a net negative -16. Kobe with a respectable -15.

The future of the Lakers :wow

Well we need to be in the bottom 3 to keep our pick. So far so good. But never underestimate the 76'ers they are masters at tanking.
The funny part is we are not trying to tank; we just suck.

Not really. It's not like the 76'ers have won any games.

Nets are fucked and their pick goes to Boston no matter what so they'll try to win but 76ers have a double incentive to tank more than the Lakers. Their games against each other will be awesome to witness.

Yes, the Bobcats finished 7-59 during the 2011-12 season (.106)

As bad as things look right now, no way we will be that bad. I have dropped my expected win total range from 30-32 to 21-23. No way Byron will survive the year if they are that bad so I expect either some improvement from Byron or a slight bump in wins with an interim coach

Don't see it tbh..Expect Kobe to quit around All Star Break, and they should win some more against other bottom-dwellers in both conference from there on..they will be around 15-20 Games IMO..

Bettingwise update me.
The Lakers will not get their draft pick regardless?

If it is a top-3 pick, Lakers keep it. Otherwise, the pick belongs to Hinkie.

So the Lakers have massive incentive to tank.
Hence, plenty of the Kirby - Scott combo.

Why did poster say 6ers have double the incentive of Lakers?

I agree, though that win range could be the Lakers' all time worst if I'm not wrong.

Oh got it. Lakers do not get pick if it's in top 3. Right?

Sixers going hard for worst overall.

Ya Lakers vs 6ers should be automatic 6ers loss.
It will simply come down to the spread?

Are you serious? In the West you wouldn't even have to Abrams to lock up a bottom 3 pick. If you were out East, that would be a different story.

I was bearish on the Lakers O/U at 35 wins. Now I think 25 is optimistic.

Mitch is playing the long game, doesn't want to give up another 1st rounder two years after giving one to Philly. Just need to keep it this year and next year, then they don't owe one to Orlando :lol

2016 first round draft pick to Philadelphia
L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Phoenix) protected for selections 1-3 in 2016 and 1-3 in 2017 and unprotected in 2018 [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012; Milwaukee-Philadelphia-Phoenix, 2/19/2015]

2018 first round draft pick to Orlando
If at least two years after the L.A. Lakers conveyed a 1st round pick to Philadelphia, then the L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick to Orlando protected for selections 1-5 in 2018 and unprotected in 2019; if the L.A. Lakers have not conveyed a 1st round pick to Philadelphia by 2017, then the L.A. Lakers will instead convey their 2017 2nd round pick and 2018 2nd round pick to Orlando [L.A. Lakers-Orlando, 8/10/2012]

The Lakers embark on a five-game road trip starting in Brooklyn on Friday. The Nets (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/basketball/brooklyn-nets-ORSPT000194-topic.html) also are 0-4 on the season.
"We'll probably play better on the road, actually," Bryant said. "Getting in an environment where it's just us against the world, we may actually play better."

Like that Sac game where you gave up 132 points? :lmao

Atlanta already got their pick in this year's draft, but they owe their 2016 and 2018 picks to Boston from the Garnett trade ( not even top 3 protected lol Nyets ) and Boston also have rights to swap 2017 1st round picks with them. They're terrible and they won't even be able to keep their lottery picks until 2019 :lmao

Tbh that is how they've won this game and the only reason they haven't lost the other 4 by 50.

They usually make all their points at the FT line.
