Not sure what that has to do with the GOAT, but your first sentence is accurate.
Can somebody give me a quick cliffs notes background on this story? I haven't read one thing on it
Missouri is unimportant in the NBA discussion. It's not surprising to see racial unrest in Missouri.

Wouldn't be surprised if Tom Rivers lobbies for him as the new president of the Clippers, tbh..
Eh, this is unofficially the racist forum so I think op is fine.

This. Just saw that he resigned over "racial tensions" and that the football team was refusing to play.

I wonder if they would be doing this if Missouri were in the playoff hunt. I suspect not.

Wolfe basically ignored several "incidents involving racism. Black and jewish groups were upset and the football team threatened not to play their game this weekend vs. BYU (which would have cost the schooll $1 million dollars. The Football staff supported the players and a picture of the team went viral. The story started getting picked up nationally, its on ESPN, & CNNs frontpage. They wanted Wolfe to resign and he did.
The guy botched it in a big way, especially after everything that's went on in Missouri in the last year. He though it would be a good idea to ignore their complaints.

They probably would, If they were in the chase for the playoff and they threatened to boycott, he probably would have been forced out even quicker. The school stood to lose $1 million for a regular season game against BYU. Much more would have been at stake in that scenario.
